Need to right down new names-but I think it's Allison that's in the mountains on vacation and hope you are having a good time.
had a lovely time with my friend and her husband . Lamb kabobs were amazing! and sides were healthy. OK brought baklava but we cut them in half.

Good morning!
I'm back from our trip, and yes! It was really nice. My husband kept the kids there while I returned early (I needed to sub yesterday morning for my choir director/organist at the church where I sing - unfortunately she recently broke her arm 😬), so I've had an additional, mini-vacation these past couple of days! They'll come home tomorrow.
To get my steps in yesterday afternoon, I stopped by the farm where I ride to say hi to some folks, and ended up walking laps around there. I got my steps while petting some of my friends (equine only, ha!)! It was really nice.
I'm going again today for a lesson; can't wait!
I tried to watch the cross country event this AM, but I guess it's not showing? I'm streaming from my phone bc we don't have the USA network on our cable; but it looks like they were just showing an episode of NCIS? I was pretty disappointed! I'm teaching two voice lessons in a bit, so don't think I'll be able to watch now😕
I hope everyone enjoys their day!

]Hi horse lovers, Faye; the renters have kept the home immaculate! Although, it is a small home just under 1600 sf. and they have a lot of really big furniture all over it - makes the house look so much smaller than I remember. I had a bit of a meltdown, I really thought I would retire there and it's so beautiful, big fir trees, quiet, private, fruit trees, nice yard, pasture (3 acres). DH and I talked about not selling all the way back home (45 min drive). Now I'm over it and ready to sell. It was just hard to see what I'm giving up. I've resigned to keep making the place I'm in now better! Beth; glad you got your walk in. We are having unusually cold weather with rain. Wave to Cathy, Barb, Amy, Linda chickadee, and atf

Hi all- It's been a super hot weekend here in Oklahoma- the horses have been sweating and biting flies are bad. Ugh! Just ready for Fall and better riding weather! Last weekend seemed to have a lot of colic amongst my horse friends- 1 that had to be put down and 3 or so others that will be fine. I guess it is the heat, not drinking enough water, new hay or forage, or a pressure system that went through. Luckily all of ours were fine. We only have 1 that has a history of colic and she hasn't had one in several years. We have 2 very elderly horses (over 30) though- so always keeping our eye on them.

Well it looks like USA will not get a team medal in eventing although there is still chances for individual medals.

How do i post a photo? it says URL link but that's not how I post a photo from my computer. any thoughts.
CINDY-sorry about the heat but glad your horses are ok. so sorry for the one that had to be put down. ALLISON- glad you enjoyed vacation. hope the choir director is healed soon. I had a broken wrist 2 yrs ago and broken hip from a fall (horse spooked) and it's no fun. In this heat must be even worse! enjoy your lesson BARB-are you all set for your show? AMY-any shows coming up? LIBBY-glad you made peace with selling the other house.
waving to all. The retirement village I played at last week just hired me for Dec so that will be my third time there in 6 months so very happy about that. busy practicing now for my Sept gigs.
waving to all. HAGD

Hi, all! Faye/Beth, the finger doesn't hurt but the "trigger" part is worse. It sort of clicks and sticks so annoying. Amy, bummer about the car. Hope she can resolve the car issue. Libby, so sorry about your retirement home...it sounds lovely. Would the renters be interested in buying or is it our of their range? Barb, I like Kia's as well. Had a Sportage for a couple of years (lease) and would have kept it except for the service. So much drama!!! I've been watching the Olympics. Have been DVRing the equestrian stuff on Comcast so have something to look forward to in the evenings (other than basketball and soccer...sorry if you love either of those)! Will try getting back on the harp again today. My PM wants me to go to India but trying to find someone to give the cat shots/meds 2x/day. Apparently that's a tall order, so may not have to go to India Of course, it also means all travel is kaput! Cathy

HI - like most - I set the DVR to record all the events - watched the dressage yesterday - some of the xc today-the dressage styles were interesting to watch -the american girl I thought used her leg way too much/obviously - then compared to the german rider -day & night - just my 2>! today our bugs were much better -we did a longer ride -almost 5 miles -our goal (dee & I ) are to ride every morning this week -other than thursday (my volunteer morning ) She goes back to teaching in 3 weeks so then our riding time together is mostly weekends. I ride alone alot during the school year. Faye -next show is 2 weeks -2 day -outside -starting to get stuff re-packed - we will set up tent & tables on Friday night -then go in in the morning to set up the glass & displays. DH will help me open tent & close it both days & help pack Sunday night - it is right in our town so easy to do.
Local grocery has lobsters on sale for $4.99 a lb - so i bought some to make lobster salad tonite! Cathy - India - that would be quite a trip! Waving to all -enjoy the evening -
