Good morning all! Beth - enjoy you walk -Faye your training-Amy your ride! we are all such morning ladies! I'm off to ride in a bit as well. Not horse related but i'm bummed - I had ordered new display pads for my pendants when I got them I realized that they will not work (the pendants won't hang on them!) so now have to pay to ship them back -but still better than losing all I paid (which wasn't a lot -but...!) Watched most of the xc event yesterday -some really great rides -some not so much - the American who's horse had the 3 refusals -which i felt were partly his fault & then he disciplined him in a way I thought was over done? but guess that's just me! More today. Alison -hope you are enjoying your mini -vaca -Waving to Libby, Cathy & others -we are slowly growing! HAGD

It looks like rain is threatening again. I'll get my exercise jogging around them lol! DH went to house we are selling yesterday and broke down the 20 x 24 metal carport that we put rails in and used as shelter for the horses. We are moving it here to put the tractor and the horse trailer and some extra hay in Doing a training at work today for a couple hours for about 20 staff persons- I was just asked to do it on Friday, they better appreciate me lol - better go get ready for it!

Hi, everyone! I'm back from a ride - I hacked today, and he really made me work for it! I had a lesson yesterday that was just so-so; I was planning on taking another lesson this morning to build on what we worked on yesterday, but decided to cut myself a break and hack, instead. I'm glad I did - my ride was being a total jerk and refusing to canter, but I was not going to take no for an answer and we made it happen. I was really proud of that mini-victory! I think that when my instructor isn't there to oversee things, he gets pretty lazy and uncooperative. But, today, I won😄 Beth - I hope your walk was nice, and not too sweaty! Amy - I hope you had a great ride, and that your car is returned to you soon Barb - I'm sorry about the incorrect size for your pendants - what a pain! Hopefully the correct display pads get to you quickly. Libby - Barrel racing sounds fun! I bet you and your dgd will have a blast! ~waving to all our other horsey friends~ Have a great day, everyone! Alison

Hi, all! Faye, glad you had a good training session. I went for a walk with my neighbor and her dog and she has a harp too! Odd, this never came up in any of our previous conversations!! I guess it's from Australia, so no brand we would know. She bought it from someone who came from there because it was cheap Alison, nice to give yourself a break and to demand a canter! Libby, have fun at the barrel races tonight...get in lots of steps Barb, bummer about the display pads. Hope you get in a ride today (or you've already gone!). Beth, I must admit...I like this new website just in that you can see all the previous comments while typing. I don't have to copy and cancel like I used to I've talked to 2 vet techs; one can't do 2x/day as she lives to far away, and one seemed nice but it would be near $100/day for care. My company won't let me expense that I'm sure, but I will check. If I'm gone 6 days, that $600!!! Just for cat care!!! If it was MY vacation, fine, but not for work! Got my steps in yesterday, but running errands today. Will try for a quick walk around the 'hood if I have time. Maybe swim tomorrow. It's fun watching the Olympic swimmers...love seeing their strokes from underwater! DVRing the event jumping this morning, will watch this evening. The Xcountry was SO fun to watch...love that stuff. Cathy

Cathy, I'm sorry to hear about your cat - that is crazy expensive! What sort of treatment is it? I hope you can find someone to help out - is there a neighbor that you'd trust to help? Maybe if it's not too tricky to administer you could work something out...
We have an older kitty who is in stage 4 kidney disease, so every few days we give him subcutaneous fluids via hypodermic needles. Thankfully we've been able to delay treatments when we've gone out of town, but if ever I'd need help, my neighbor has said they'd be willing to help out.
If that's your kitty in your avatar, he/she is a cutie!
