Hi all - busy day today - Upreach in the morning- then i was trying to decide if I would ride or not (too hot?) but when I got to the barn -the decision was made for me -Penny lost a shoe (tomorrow is 6 weeks and I had a call in to farrier to come next week -and I had noticed a 'clinking" yesterday) so another call (ok text) to farrier -who said she could squeeze me/us in tomorrow (we all try to do feet same day to make it easier) Since Dee is away I will hold Skip and I always hold the other horse as she also works full time (the joys of being retired!) Will then pack up glass and see what weather does - they are predicting rain -we can set up tomorrow night -which was our plan -I don't want to suggest we wait until Sat morning as that would have to be early and DH is NOT an early person (7:30 ish) so hope rain holds. I can do the glass set up myself Sat morning its just that darn tent!
Amy - hope your lesson goes well -and I wouldn't worry -men don't notice stuff like that! Libby - that really sounds like its a no win situation -hopefully someone responsible will buy in. Cathy -i get what you are saying about time to exercise -If i don't go by 8 the latest -I'm done -can't do later -just not my thing - which is why I haven't gone in months - that's my summer barn time . I do plan on starting back in Sept when riding can be done a bit later (weather is cooler)
Waving to Beth, Faye, Dutch - enjoy your evening -

Tracking: yes Good morning, Barb; hope you get the tent up easily tonight. 6 weeks isn't that long to hold shoes, we go 8 weeks because Lucy grows fast, Rosie can go 10 weeks easily-her feet grow slow. Sorry you didn't get to ride, I'm with you on the exercise, if I don't do it first thing in the morning-it doesn't happen! Faye; when I landscape an area in the back, I'll look at getting a butterfly bush! Cathy; sounds like your work is busy again! Dutch; so glad all the smoke is gone! finally, it really hung in here from those fires in Canada Amy; I have to clean up my guest room this morning also. My ddil will be here with the now 10 yo and 3 yo gdkids today. She and the oldest are going to the SeaHawks pregame tonight, then I will have the kiddo's all week. Most guys don't really notice the dust balls in the corners lol Beth; trust your still walking each morning HAGD everyone! My house is a mess, so I'd better get busy and the deck is finally dry so I can start repainting until the company comes.....

Hi, all! Faye, have fun with DD and high tea this weekend! Podiatrist is next Thursday, which meant cancelling a hike on Sunday...just not fun. Current glasses fit better, but still don't like them. Getting new lighter lenses with old frames. He showed me what my sight would be with new lenses compared to existing ones and totally worth it! Barb, I'm guessing Penny has new shoes by now and you're working on the tent. Hope the show goes well! Libby, whew...busy week for you! 10 and 3...what do you do to keep them occupied, that's quite an age range. Good luck with the deck...hope it holds up better this year. Did you stay on track with those tortilla chips Hi to Beth, Dutch and Amy! Play was pretty fun. We bought sandwiches and they had picnic tables overlooking Santa Cruz and the ocean, so quite nice. There were 4 people playing all parts and sometimes they actually played the parts of "things" (one guy was a bog...made the most uproarious noises!). Enjoyed it! Today will walk. My ex Sis-IL's mom is in hospice now. She said to call her mom since she is so weak. I'll give it a go this afternoon. She has a lot of faith (Lutheran) so she's quite at peace. Probably on pretty good pain meds Cathy

Hi all - computer crashed this morning- took DH all day to reboot - apparently my Norton had turned off sometime in May? Rained most of the day -a short break when farrier showed up (!) she put some clip shoes on this time as it has been so wet -she was actually pretty happy that the shoes lasted 6 weeks! not much to trim but there was chipping -hope these new shoes do the trick -- then of course w/ the rain -DH decided that NO he wasn't going to help me (never again) so met a friend during a lull and we set her tent & my tent up -didn't put up sides or anything else -will do it all in the AM -I am so done with his tantrums -I will figure it out - have one more outdoor show and they will have "helpers" then the indoor shows are easier -no tent to deal with and again - most have helpers -so there!
Faye - happy birthday - have a fun weekend -
Libby- wow - 8 or 10 weeks for shoes - I can get that in winter -sometimes even 12! but she has such small QH feet -I try to keep ahead -
Waving to everyone -guess like Faye -won't be on over the weekend -but hope everyone has a good one - ride if you can

Trust everyone is having a good weekend! I put an ad out for some help with the horses, lots of people interested, only one sounds like she lives closeby. Not sure if I'm going to board the horses somewhere else this winter or keep them here with a self-care boarder to look after them like Heidi did. I'm leaning towards boarding them so I don't have to worry. I have 3 people coming on Monday that are interested. Board around here is pretty high for 2 horses, about 1000- 1200$ a month, yikes! if I drive south about 45 minutes it's more like 6-700. Faye has some great pic on FB Wave to all my 3 yo dgd just woke up, she's so warm and snuggly on my lap and hungry lol....here goes my day

Hi, all! Barb, yeah, it's sounds as if leaving DH at home is the answer...if there's help at the shows, might as well use it. I hope it's going well! Libby, it's the reason I don't have a horse. Can't afford the land and can't afford board. Is this because you're going to AZ for the winter? Like I said, too bad I don't live nearby, would totally help out! Faye, hope you're having fun in the big City! LOVED the pic from Tiffany's The lenses are lighter, no prisms this time. He didn't think my eyes were moving that much to warrant them. Dutch, glad you got a wee bit of Ally time. Stay sane! Hi to Amy, Beth, Julie! I've decided to sell some furniture. Instead of having unknowns come into the TH, I'm going to get a couple of movers to take the stuff down to the garage; will park outside for a few weeks. If I can't sell it, I'll donate it. The living room set and the dining set are just too big for this space (was fine for the house). Today is the arts and wine festival. Will walk over in a bit to see what's there, then bbq this evening. It's kind of grey and drizzly...pretty sure we won't see any of the eclipse tomorrow morning...too many clouds. Cathy
