hi- late to the party today - busy day -it was last day of Upreach for this session -they asked me to sub at 9 - my session is 10 so left my house at 8:15 -got to my barn by noon -cleaned & did a quick ride -banged a nail (had them done on Monday ) on the boards -broke the acrylic (!) then had to go out to nail place to have it fixed! My friend will come out one day next week -
Cathy -did you post a photo of your painting? will look again -
Beth -my tomatoes also coming in but have never had good luck w/ sauce -always too thin -any tricks?
Waving to the rest -until tomorrow

Hi, all! Faye, MRI is scheduled for next Thurs at 7:30AM...ick. Have a meeting at 10 so should be back in time. I think the sx removes one of the nerves. There are 2 that run between your 3rd and 4th toes. If they get irritated, the enlarge and fight each other for space. I always feel like I have a marble on the bottom of my foot I just don't want to give up hiking...will try this SUnday and see how it holds up with the cortisone. Barb, whoof...you have a busy day ahead, but it sounds like lots of riding is in your future! GL with density test! Hi to all that follow! Not sure I'll get to swim today. I'm trying to sell coffee table and end tables and neighbor is going to help me carry them down to the garage. There's a little damage to the top of the coffee table and I might do a quick sand and polyurethane before posting it. In the meantime, I ordered replacements (smaller) and they arrive today...so...kind of have to wait around. Maybe I'll try for a late swim? Hawaii is at end of September. I figured I had to do it for my upcoming 60th! Just 3 nights, not long since I don't like being away from kitty that long (and pet sitting gets expensive). Cathy

HI all - Cathy - love the painting! BD test was fast -in & out in less than 15 minutes! Yes, a lot of riding in my future -do it while the weather is good!
Beth - my tomatoes are blossoming -grapes, plums & rounds -do you have a good recipe for sauce? whenever I have tried it it is always too thin & watery!
Faye - enjoy your yoga! I keep saying I will try it -but don't!
DS & DDIL are in Houston -just got off the phone w/ him -they are far enough away from "water" but most likely will have some flooding to the yard -(Houston is a BIG city- with parts of it below sea level and built to assume they will flood) They gassed up the cars -got some water & food staples -charging the phones -just waiting for the water to begin!
Off to do some work in the studio-
Waving to all -ride if you can -HAGD

Trotting thu The girls are keeping me busy! I'm frustrated with finding someone to watch the horses here. I am going to look at two places to board tomorrow on my way to dgn's birthday party. It's really close to there, both of them. Eatonville, which is 45 minutes away. It's cheaper to keep 2 horses there then to keep one horse in my area. Plus it's close to my brothers and he can check on them HAGN everyone!

Hi- the day (once again ) got away from me - did a longer ride this morning w/ Dee & neighbor from up the road -we all just walked -were out for about 1 hr 45 min -horses were good -enjoying the nice weather -we ride on conservation trails -at the far end some a**shole kids spray painted dirty words & signs on about 7 trees. so sad. Then DH & I took TUndra for a walk in the trails.
Libby -sorry about the issues w/ the horses -I guess I missed that you were looking to board them out? And it's cheaper to board them then to keep at home -wow -but guessing you won't have the riding time if they are out there -sorry
Beth -glad you got the order out! I will try tomatoes again -have to do something!
Waving to Faye, Cathy, Amy & Dutch -

I'll try this again...the website seems slow... Faye, I don't think I did much for my 50th...a friend set up a little happy hour/dinner for those interested. It was fun I haven't been to Hawaii for quite a while so thought, what the heck, might as well go! Our next harp practice - The Harpies - is tomorrow afternoon Barb, glad you got in a nice ride...that's a long one! And then a walk afterwards?!? Whew! Hope son and family do OK in TX! Libby, bummer about finding spots for the horses. Hope the ones you look at will be OK...this is just for the winter, right? While you're in AZ? Have fun with DGDs! Beth, nice that the order is done. My SIL used to put tomatoes in the blender and make soup. I can't remember what she added but the freshness of it tasted SO yummy! Hi to Amy and Dutch! Got the end tables sold quickly! A couple came by, paid cash (yeah!) and were going to use them as bedside tables. Really sweet and he did the lifting...yes! Just have the coffee table left. As Libby said, maybe I'll just leave it as is. Moving the furniture was exhausting through. My friend helped...these were heavy pieces and we had all these stairs. We took lots of breaks and used a quilt to slide the coffee table down to the garage...pretty funny, sweaty work! I didn't have energy for a swim, but it sure would have felt good! Cleaning today, then tomorrow is the harp session, and maybe driving to parents for dinner. DN is bringing her boyfriend, which she never does so it's kind of an 'occasion'. Problem is, they don't ask when's a good day to drive over, they just set the date and I have to make it work...or not. We'll see...if the traffic is bad, forget it. Cathy

Hawaii is at end of September. I figured I had to do it for my upcoming 60th! Just 3 nights, not long since I don't like being away from kitty that long (and pet sitting gets expensive). Which island? We go often, love the islands! I'm surviving. Still tons of work... working now actually as well :/ The eclipes was amazing! We went to the coast for it- in the totality zone. So glad we made the extra effort to see it at 100%!! Ally is doing great. Better about baths, feet and spray bottles I trimmed blackberries for 3hrs again today! They seriously grow that fast! It was wonderful having cooler weather this week - but looks to be heating up tomorrow/monday! :0 I have family in Corpus Christy- they are fine, but of course we were all worried. What a serious storm! I'm taking DS there in about 3 weeks - wonder what it will look like by then! Thanks for all your waves and well wishes! Take care ladies!

Well Cathy, I turn 60 next year also! I think Hawaii sounds like a lovely idea! I'll have to put a bug in my dh's ear lol! I really like kaui and Maui, the most fun I've ever had was on the island hopping cruise ship, starts in Honolulu and goes thru the islands ;)Glad you got the end tables sold!! I still have my old stove and frig (bought new in 2015) to sell. I still need to clean them up to be presentable. Dutch; the eclipse was awesome!! We had about 95% here, glad your family is fine in Tx Barb; I wish I got to ride as much as you do! Glad your son and family are ok in Tx - Wave to Faye, Beth, Amy and all to follow - just heard dgd (3yo) wake up, I'm taking them home today Found 2 nice places to board the horses from Oct till April I told one I would board there, she is going to send me a contract. It's a beautiful place with a grand view of Mt. Rainier, two huge 125' square paddocks and run in sheds, a very large outdoor arena, round pen and barn with tack lockers. She only has one other boarder and room for one more horse. The other place was really out in the middle of no where, nice pasture with trees, small run in and the girls would be together (yikes, Lucy is mean to Rosie when she's hungry). The gal said she would separate them to eat and was really nice and accommodating. The place was a little junky looking, not where the horses were, yet around the home and garage. She said they were in the process of cleaning it up. There was no arena yet she said there was trails nearby and you could ride the backroads. So the Mt. view place was my pick, hope it works out! Need to get moving, HAGD everyone!

HI all - Libby - ok - now I get it for when you are in AZ - hope this works out for you -so you can enjoy the time & not worry about them! Yes, I am lucky to be able to ride as much as I do -the barn is 1.5miles from my house and the trails are 3 houses (maybe 1/4mile?) to the entry. Since we have no ring -it's trails or nothing....rode again today -w/ Dee/Skip -most likely will take advantage of this lovely - mid 70's weather - all week! My "younger" friend is coming on Wed. We did Hawaii -the island hopping cruise as well -a great way to get a taste - I'd love to go back but the 12 hr plane ride.....not so sure!
All you ladies turning 60 ( or as I say 50/10) it's all good -I'm grooving on my 65 -so all is good -age is a number and you are only as old as you feel - MOST days I don't feel 65 but there are days....
Dutch - glad you are getting Ally more & more comfortable w/ horsey things!
Faye- didn't you have a gig this weekend? if so - how did it go?
DS & DDIL are still ok - house is dry - they were able to buy 2 pumps and 100' of hoses to keep patio clear -as long as the power stays on they should be fine -but he says he's never seen this much rain!
Waving to Beth, Cathy & Amy - off to take TUndra to the park -then shower (yes, it's 3:15 - my usual shower time these days!)

BARB-so glad DS and DDIL are ok. please keep us posted on that. the photos are just horrible so very sad. I just donated to the Red Cross. Yes, I had a Medieval thru Modern gig this afternoon. large crowd and very nice. had a good time. they seemed to enjoy it. I go back tomorrow for another area of the facility. Today was the independent living. Got to pet the therapy dog that came to visit. He was sweet. sorry to hear of the graffiti on the trail. don't people have anything better to do than destroy things? CATHY-love the name of your group! Glad the tables sold. Hope you got to DN's dinner. DUTCH-wow, 100% eclipse. bet it was something. didn't really get dark here. was it cold and dark? for how long? Hope your family will be ok in TX. BETH-is there a season for cap orders? I mean, is there a season for shows? did you get steps for the bed? any issues finding sheets? AMY-hope you rode. is DD having her dance test soon? i thought she was able to move it up sometime to fall. LIBBY-glad you have a nice choice of boarding.
waving to all . HAGE

Hi, all! Faye, I didn't get to dinner...we played later and it's quite hot here right now (I know Libby and Dutch are dealing with it as well) and just didn't want to do the drive in the heat. I'm a weenie... Libby, glad you found some places. I know you worry about Rosie getting enough food; would you split them up? Put Rosie in one place and Lucy in the pasture place? Probably not, easier to have them both in the same place. I guess it might quiet down a bit now that DGDs are back home Dutch, I'm going to Maui. I like Weilea...the big hotel has a ginormous pool and they have activities. I got a rental car this time so want to drive over to Lahaina and hang out I also love Kauai, it's so pretty, but I like Oahu/Waikiki too...like to swim in the ocean there. Glad you got to see the eclipse! Sounds really cool! Barb, have fun with Tundra. You have Florida, the Keys...that's a long trip for us West-Coasters Hi to Beth and Amy (might go to the Scottish Festival this weekend, always over Labor Day weekend). So, yeah, it's heating up again, so not much fun being in a car. I backed out of dinner, I felt bad but they didn't set it up so that everyone could attend; this is usually how it works, they set the date w/o asking if it works for me. I'm usually left out (wow....I did not mean for that to sound so petulant). It is what it is...I'm mostly over it Harp lesson late today, so I would like to get in a short walk if it's not too hot. Cathy
