The moderators appreciate that everyone plays a part in keeping this a healthy vibrant community by keeping an eye out for objectionable behaviour.
For the sake of efficiency and for the sanity of the mods, if you see an issue with a poster or a specific post, in order to bring it to the attention of the moderators in a way that the moderators can discuss and act appropriately is to report the post, NOT to post a comment or request that the mods do something in the thread.
Reporting the post/thread makes it more likely the moderators will see the post and the request as we don't all read every thread/post and gives the mods the chance to give it sober consideration and act appropriately rather than have to make a snap decision and/or get into lengthy discussions defending why the mods do or do not do whatever.
The community does belong to us all and While some aspects of our community are voted on by the whole, discipline and/or banning is not a particularly appropriate group vote situation.
Please report posts if you have an issue with them. We may not do what you'd like us to do, but we'll carefully consider it.
This post will stay here for a bit so everyone has a chance to see it and then we'll be moving it over to the announcements board. Yes, there are other boards!
In case you aren't sure how to report a post:
In the upper right hand corner of each post is a little cog wheel and an arrow. Click on the arrow and you'll see an option to report the post. A pop-up box will ask you for a reason and you click on the Report Post button.
It will then be flagged for the moderators and whomever is around can take a look at it.
