Good morning all! It's back to work for me today. I never did iron what I intended to wear, so I'll have to put something else together. If I ever retire, I will not miss the clothes part of working every day. I did boil some eggs last night, and have yogurt and a banana for my breakfast. No lunch though, so I'll scrounge the cafeteria today.
Hope you have a great Monday!

Good morning from a very soggy IN.
We had storms over night and this morning. It appears that we have had over 3" of rain. Being Monday I am doing laundry then I need to pay a couple of bills and run a couple of errands.
Maryenne, any idea what DH is going to do for his first official day of retirement??
As for my eating and weight, things are doing fine. I appear to be holding my own on weight, right at goal, but I do need to start watching what I eat more closely, consuming more fresh fruit that is in season and less baked goodies. I made a new recipe on Friday, Mini Doughnut Muffins, yum yum!! I did cut the recipe in half making 24 and I have half in the freezer. I did buy some Bing Cherries yesterday and froze 4 cups after pitting them. I can't wait to get some Michigan peaches to eat fresh and in the freezer. I just found a pie recipe using Bing cherries, blueberries and peaches, everything I will have access to over the winter.
Wishing everyone a great Monday!! Make sure you do something fun today.
Peg

Hello ladies. I'm going to give this thread a try Yesterday was my 63rd bday. We celebrated by attending a local production play about Patsy Cline. Then dinner with friends.
Back to work today.

Oh, and if content generally includes food consumption...I ate every freaking thing I wanted yesterday. French toast, BBQ Ribs, French fries, and ice cream. Back to reality today. Lol

Good morning everyone and welcome Fairazzbueller! It promises to be another dangerously hot day for us here. My new sofa is being delivered today, so I'm happy about that. Don't know yet what time to expect it. It will really be good to have it though. I knew our old one needed to be replaced, but didn't realize how badly it needed to be replaced, since it still looks pretty good, until I had my eyelid surgery and had to spend two days and nights on it because it reclines and that way I could keep my head up. That was a killer on my back! This new one is very similar to the old one, and I'm hoping it will be as comfortable and durable as the old one was originally. A production about Patsy Cline sounds good, especially to someone from TN. Hope you enjoyed it. We had what was probably the same or a similar production here in Nashville at the Ryman a few years ago, and DH and I enjoyed it very much. She had a beautiful voice. Interestingly enough, her plane crashed just a few miles from where I grew up. I was in high school at the time, and I remember the big storm as the thunder, lightning, and rain were so hard that they woke my entire family up, and of course we got up the next morning and learned about the crash. Maryenne, hope your DH gets his retirement off to a good start today. Just not having to set the alarm clock is a plus for him. Peg, the cherries sound delicious. I love to hear about all the delicious goodies you bake, but you must have a tremendous amount of will power. If I baked the way you do, I would have to have the doors enlarged on our house! I'm just not very strong when it comes to limiting myself on homemade baked goodies. Lynne, Michelynn, Joan, Esther, and anyone I have missed. Wishing you all a lovely day!

Good morning to everyone
I got a good start to the day, services at 7am and grocery shopping to take advantage of the fruits and vegetables on sale. Next I am getting my hair cut and I have PT at noon. I generally have very little energy since the arthritis flare up in my hips so I am encouraged when I can get anything done.
Peg – I think you got all our rain. We have had almost no rain all summer ad everything is looking dried and brown. I have had to give up baked goodies since I don’t control myself very well. It is easy in the summer when there is so much fresh fruit.
Welcome to Fairazzbueller
Joyce – I hope you enjoy your new couch.
Michelynn – I am sorry you are not able to do your spinning class. I know you enjoy them.
Have a great Monday all.

Woofie, what part of IN? I lived in IN a long time. South Bend area, Muncie, Marion, and Fort Wayne. My son I still there.

Good morning all,
Maryenne - the one thing that I like about my job is that they provide company polo shirts. We don't have to wear them, but I do. It's nice to not have to worry about what I'm going to wear to work each day.

Good afternoon all. This hot, humid weather is still here. I have had a headache for two days, I just can't shake it. I am not usually one who has headaches. It may be a reaction to the poor air quality, too. DSIS and I went to the store today. She picked up a birthday present for her grandson. I picked up a few things for around the house. Have a good day. Lynn

Mary - I now purchase only what I think I will like for retirement and make it work as a work outfit, too. Right after I retire I plan to toss everything that reminds me of having to dress everyday for work. It's making clothes shopping fun.

I wear scrubs, so they are comfy. Worst Monday in years, therefore I was stress eating and had wine. I still had weekly points left but am mad at myself when I do that. Oh well, water under the bridge!
