Good morning.
No I'm not traveling. I have a painful rt knee. It's not a new pain as I've had it for the past month. It has gotten worse over the past week. I was resting it yesterday after I went to Bible Study. It's still very painful. I have an appointment with the Orthopedic Dr. Tuesday the 11th. I can walk on it but bending it hurts a lot and it feels swollen inside the joint but there is no visible swelling on the outside. I'm supposed to leave the 15th to meet the buyers for the trailer on the 16th. We'll see what happens.
I've also been working on a pattern to put on towels for a dog show in January. The lady wants a Papillon , a butterfly and winners dog on one set and winners bitch on the other set. I've got the pattern set up. Now I'm sewing it out to set the right color scheme before I put it on the towels. The towels are a dark slate type of gray. The dog and writing are not the problem. It's getting the butterfly colors right so they will show up on the the gray without blending in the gray.
Dutch-I'm so glad Ally was a jewel for the farrier.
Barb-sounds like you have a lot of inventory.
Libby-Cathy has a lot of good ideas to write on your proposal.
Faye-have fun with the harp lesson
Cathy-glad your teacher will take you on for another session.
Amy-any more riding on Lukas?
Allison-did you finish the project?

Ok, not all lab work back on Ally. White count up.. looks to be parasites. Off to buy recommended wormer and a recheck has been scheduled for 30 days, including the booster for patomic. Glad I'm doing this!

Morning- thanks Faye (and all who asked) my folks are good -the brunt of the storm missed Boca -(so my father can now say -see -we didn't need the water!) Faye -sounds like you are really enjoying these sessions -when is your next concert? Enjoy your weekend! Beth -feel better -knee pains are not fun (guess not any are fun!) Dutch -good you got control over stuff for Allie.
Today is Upreach day -going to clean before I go -then groceries after -so most likely no ride today -but long weekend (ok -they all are long for me!) coming up of good forecast weather! May pick up some more clear glass at my favorite shop on the way home!
Waving to the gang - ride if you can -HAGD - CBL

DH is thinkin of buying it if it does, to keep anyone else out! If you can get a good price it would probably make a nice investment as well as peace of mind. Said her feet look good and that she's a nice filly! Next appointment set! YAY So glad you got a farrier to come out and she was good so he will be happy to come out again. I'll be painting with her until the end of the year. That is nice to get more classes in. You have some time to figure out what is next. Amy

Good morning. I didn't walk this morning. Knee is still painful so I'm resting it. This morning I'm putting the pattern on some of the towels. Then this afternoon I'm going to my DB's wedding (3rd time around).
Barb-glad your parents are okay.

So I am probably not buying Lukas. It comes down to my short legs again. It is hard for me to wrap my legs around him enough to really get him rounded at the walk and trot. Even though I don't feel he is so big I can't hang on, we may end up having communication problem. It is hard because he is a sweet boy and so fancy. If I can't ride him correctly it will end up being frustrating. It has been a hard decision because both me and my trainer think he has so much going for him. She should have no trouble selling him on. My friend Jane who bought Gio is looking for a second fancier horse so maybe she will buy him. (she is keeping Gio). That would be kind of funny if she does. I am feeling disappointed but I struggled so much with the decision to buy I guess that is a sign that he is not right.

Headed to Portland this weekend with dh for his business meeting. Really would like to stay home! It's a 3 hr. drive. Went to the attorneys yesterday in downtown Seattle and ate lunch at a Hot Pot Chinese restaurant. It was different, fun and healthy! DSIL and her DH were with us. Got king Salmon at Pike Place Market. Lot's of hustle bustle downtown, yet fun. Wanting some horse time Not going to happen this weekend. HAGR everyone, got to go pack!

Hi all! Faye, the weekend sounds fun! Are you leaving today or going tomorrow? Harp lesson went well; she is gone next week so she gave me some things to work on No lifeguard but someone was going to talk to the swim coach/coordinator. Barb, glad parents are OK. My cousin also lives (this is sad) somewhere in FL. I know his wife was "batting down the hatches" but he's up in MI with my brother. First hurricane for them. Have a good day at Upreach. Libby, I do like downtown Seattle. It's very fun! Sorry you're not excited about Portland but hope you find some fun there What kind of business is your DH in? Amy, so sorry about your decision but its a strong one! When the right horse comes along you will know it. In the meantime, ride as many different horses as you can...you learn a lot from each and every one! Beth, so sorry about your knee...I bet you're missing those morning walks! But you new pattern sounds challenging so good it's keeping you busy! Dutch, well at least the lab caught the bugs and you can fix that. Worming was always...so not fun. No specific plans this weekend. Might go to mom and dad's on Sunday but haven't heard any final decisions yet. Cathy

CATHY-going tomorrow and then staying at the hotel overnight. should be fun. always wanted to stay at that hotel. Used to have dinner/dancing there and dh and i went but they don't do the dancing anymore. glad someone will speak to pool person. happy harp practice. glad your cousin is ok.
LIBBY-well, see if you can have fun. I once went with DH to a business thing in MD and ended up at a spa and then walked around but all the stores were closed. sort of a bummer but at least it was different. AMY-sorry about Lukas but better to be safe and have control. Hang in there. DUTCH-how is Ally? did you get all her meds? BETH-hope your knee is better soon. when is the dr. appt?

The bride was late for her wedding. She arrived at the church 10 minutes before it was suppose to start. Then she had to quickly get dressed. So the ceremony started 15 minutes late and lasted 15 minutes. It was a very small ceremony. DB's 2 daughters and the bride's 3 children were in it. There were maybe 15-20 of us in the audience.

Good morning Saturday BETH-hope you had a good time though. And brides being late is why harpists have lots of extra music in their folders! a common thing. BARB-so how much glass did you get?

Hi, all! Faye, hope you're having fun today! Beth, sounds like a nice wedding. I bet the groom was happy the bride actually showed...or maybe he didn't know. Barb, awe, keep buying glass Amy, yeah short legs can be a drag. My horse was kind of slow-ish...took a lot of leg to get her going sometimes. She was 16h, but the horse I leased had her own engine so not as much work; she was 15.3, I think. Smaller and more compact. I know I should work on the bathroom cabinets (test some stains) but I'm just not feeling it. Will put it off to do some painting instead. Going to a trivia contest tonight. I will be pathetic, I know. Cathy

Hi all - Beth - wedding sounds like it was interesting -you know what they say -3rd time's the charm! Faye- I ONLY bought more clear - pretty much each piece has a clear base under color or cap over -so always need clear -but other than that I am not buying any more this year -REALLY - I need to use what I have (and then sell some!) I have an Art Walk event next Saturday =our city does these 2x a year -where shops & galleries open up -artists can sign up to go into shops to sell their work -my art group gallery is open and I am going to display in my friend's shop again. THen the following weekend I have a 2 day show about 20 minutes from here -it's a first year show which is always iffy -but they have over 140 vendors in an inside venue (its the indoor tennis facility at a country club type place) so keeping fingers crossed.
Rode today w/Dee & Skip - he had cut his frog on something on Tuesday -we went out to look and found an old shoe w/nails and the nails looked just like the cut in the frog -luckily the farrier was coming the next day & she trimmed the frog & found the spot -so anyway -he had been off the past few days -but she put on his hoof boots & he was fine for a walk.
DH making jalapeno poppers with the last of our peppers tonite - so we are having a mish mash dinner -(not WW friendlY!)
then tonite we are watching my DVD I got of Harry & Snowman -I made a donation a while ago for the funding of the movie & got an autographed copy (by Harry not Snowman!)
Waving to all - HAGE

Good evening. The bride had her 2 daughters and my niece (DB's daughter). They were all getting their hair done and that's why they were late.
Been busy finishing the towels for the dog show. Now I just have to mail them Monday.

Good morning Sunday- raining here -trotting thru= DH & I going out for breakfast -Harry & Snowman was a great movie -if you haven't read the book it's a must for us horsey ladies -I remember them growing up on LI around that time & going to Natl Horse show at MSG - I actually saw Harry ride in the late 70's (not on Snowman) Also interesting to see some of the famous old H/J riders/trainers I had met there -(Rodney Jenkins, George Morris) they look so old -but - warning -teary in several spots! Good evening. Went to church, came home and had lunch. Been reading most of the day. My knee is still sore and I see the Orthopedic dr. Tuesday.
Barb- is Harry and Snowman playing at the movie theater or some other venue? I checked the listing at my local movie house but it's not listed there.

then tonite we are watching my DVD I got of Harry & Snowman -I made a donation a while ago for the funding of the movie & got an autographed copy (by Harry not Snowman!) Way cool! Closest the movie is playing is a 2hr drive 1 way on Friday...so that's not happening, darn it. Hope everyone had a nice weekend! Ally got a pretty new red rain sheet. It ended up being 1 size too big, but as she's still growing, I'll live with it. Lucky girl!
