I bought caramel corn as an occasional snack and I love it. I am supposed to have it as a treat on the weekend only.
Last night I was feeling down and was craving the popcorn.
I thought of my friend on the Canadaian GDT I made a promise with about evening snacking and I resisted. Her ears must have been ringing all evening.
I am pleased with myself about exercising my resistance muscle.

Hello all,
My past downfalls and subsequent weight gain have revolved around my reluctance to weigh myself and somehow thinking that if I didn't get on the scale I could ignore the signs that my body was giving me that I had gained - feeling uncomfortable, clothes no longer fitting, etc. I know that if I am to somewhat tame this beast that I cannot avoid the scale. I know that it messes with my head to weigh in everyday but I usually weigh myself a couple of times a week. This week, I wanted to avoid the scaled because I had had two days of eating and I knew that I'd be up. But I got on the scale, and sometimes it isn't as bad as we think it is. But for me, weighing myself will always be an important part of my journey.

Here. Gathering my thoughts so forgive me if I ramble.
I posted about FOMO and Easter indulgences. I enjoyed the candy but thought long and hard about the slippery slope aspect. So I opted to get rid of excess (i have a bag of Cadbury eggs that needs to go, have to being it in), and i have given myself permission to load my diet (within reason) with extra servings of vegetables and other plant based items for the rest of the week, even if I am overeating. I have found that I naturally stay on track if I work on quality then quantity. Even though I only did the Easter indulgences for two days (record for me so yay) I am seeing if this strategy serves me well long term. I have a target weight goal but I need to shake the thought that I have to lose x amount of weight by a certain date. I keep sliding into that mindset and it is NOT good for me.
Journal, water, meal plan in place. Slow and mindful eating.
ETA I have GOT to start reading diet trap before we start, only way I can keep abreast of the subjects.

Weighed - 1.4 lbs. Water weight strikes again. Read new posts, posted Tracked Ate sitting, mindfully Strength & flexibility exercises Wrote plan for today
DH has been partcipating in a 6 week sleep clinic; he's trying to get off Ambian. It's working well for him. Instructor told him someone his age really needs 7 hours of sleep a night. My sleep schedule has started to mirror his as the weeks have gone by (he's on week four, I think). I am so tired. I need 8 hours. So I'm going back to my sleep schedule starting tonight. A bit OT, but has been affecting my will to exercise, so I mention it.
I went to find a pair of white pants to wear to my big lunch out with girlfriend on Friday. I must have given them away in one of my pandemic purges, thinking I would not fit into them again. Now the size I have (I typically buy multiple sizes since my weight goes up, down all around due to the GI blues) is a bit large. Never again will I throw out a size of a garment I love. So aggro.

lani, not OT IMHO. I need plenty of sleep for many reasons. Regarding food if I am too tired I eat too much for energy. I also make poor choices because I am too tired to prepare time consuming items. Here. Daily WI Up 1.5. Sodium. One slice of veggie pizza; not two slices and no meat. Made a salad for dinner. Have extra fruit prepared for evening snack if needed.

Here, I am pretty good about acknowledging NSVs along w the scale moving downwards. My go-to treat has been a trip to the used record store-I have a list of CDs that I want to buy, so I work at earning those.
Credits Tracking, OP, MSS eating Got food plan going for new week starting tomorrow Activity Continuing to work on recognizing healthy hunger and satiety cues. Water water water Looking at some new recipes to try to avoid food fatigue.
Anyone have any recipe that they're loving these days that I might try? TIA.

My meals are all prepared or easily assembled for the next 3 days. I have an early morning meetup on Sunday, so I am mindful of potential pitfalls I need to stay on top of. Activity is planned for each day, as well.

We have meal plans for today, tomorrow, and Sunday. Also, appropriate snacks in the house (apples, hard boiled eggs). For my planned indulgence of a glass of prosecco tomorrow evening, I bought a little bottle rather than a regular full-size bottle--portion control, amirite?

Weekend plan to stay on track: I will plan my meals today. We have all the food we need but I am just sucking at planning lately I have been reading the board but not posting. I have been feeling sorry for myself because I feel so disconnected but that attitude will stop today! Like lunabear I need to knuckle down and release the last few pounds, except for in my case it's 10 pounds. The same sticking 10 pounds I have hung onto for years. One big credit: There is a chocolate candy bar sitting on our kitchen table. DH put it there because he got it at his dentist when he had a root canal. Kind of a weird parting gift along with some chapstick. haha. It is meant for DD2 but she hasn't touched it. In the past I would have eaten that candy or at least asked DD if we could share it. It's been there for 3 days. I will not let that Kit Kat bar win! Happy weekend all!

I nailed it with my meal plan yesterday. I awoke feeling energetic and refreshed. Plan this weekend is extensive meal prep to include a ton of roasted vegetables for the next week. As well as read the trap book. Going to try out my new bike rack and take my bike to the park to ride.
Water. Journaling. Slow and mindful eating is the focus today.
Forgot to add - I hunted down the last of the Easter candy that I had stashed away and brought it to work. I was determined to find it so I wouldn't scavenge for it during a future weak moment.

Good morning all. I survived my first work week post-vacation.
I am working on a weekend plan. We are getting together with (vaccinated) friends tonight, and I need a plan so I don’t go nuts. One drink only and portion control.
I cooked too many things this week, so I will freeze a few for next week. We will make a Costco run today and I’ll bring back a rotisserie chicken for salad and soup.
Exercise was a super challenge this week. Today is nice, so no excuses on walking. I will get back to my 30 minute Fabulous 50’s workouts as well.

Here. WI yesterday was better. I had over 16K steps so that was good. I took a hard look at my weight "cards" I keep in the drawer near the scale. Interesting data and I am still thinking about what it all means to me.
We have company this weekend; lots of celebratory food planned. I need a good plan...

Friday went well. Within one pound of my recent lowest. I know I'll eat three meals tomorrow as I always do on Sundays and that will bump me up slightly but that's OK as my actions the rest of next week will bring me back down.
