Like I said, I'll be happy to do the leads for the Dorothy Sayers clublet of Gaudy Night, but don't know when yet.

For those of you who have read books way in advance, do you remember enough to discuss? I just got Addie from the library but wondering if I should just return it and check it out again closer to December.

Clublet folks, are we doing both Gaudy Night and WiW?
If both, can we put WiW later, since it is long AF?

sal, Would you like to do the leads for WIW? I think it's a very good idea for us to do it later so that will give us more time to read it. To everyone: Any ideas on when you'd like me to do the leads for Gaudy Night? I was thinking sometime this summer, but will have to check the regular club schedule as well as my calendar.

How does the week of 8/9---8/13 sound for Gaudy Night? It's right in the middle of the July and late August reads, and I am pretty sure I have no conflicts. How about you?

lee058 and moosishunLee...I’m up for Gaudy Night in August. I’m tagging Moosishun, and if that works with the schedule she can add us in. I will also put my money where my mouth is and volunteer to lead Woman in White. I’m not the best at leading but with just a few of us perhaps you guys can put up with me. 😁 I will suggest January 24-28, 2022. That will give people plenty of time to read, and it will be after the Holiday Rush.

bumblebuzz21, My brain is a bit of a sieve. I need a quick refresher if I read a book more than a few months in advance. Once the discussion starts, it usually jogs my memory.

Okay, I'm in for some of this round. I just got home from the bookstore with Ordinary Grace, Rose Code, Lost Apothecary and Addie. Those were the first ones I found that I thought I might like to read, but I may have to go back for more with the long gap between June and November.

Yes, that is the book.
Since you got people's attention, can I ask if everyone who wanted to participate is still OK for the end of July? Or should we move it? It is a rather large book, as I've discovered. Not too hard to read but larger than a lot of others I've been reading lately.

moosishun, I can’t do the Exercised clublet starting July 26. I have some surgery scheduled for that week but more importantly, I am just not getting through the book. There is too much else going on and my reading time is limited. Who were the others who wanted to participate? I can work out a different time slot with them.

ermabom, first of all, I hope the surgery goes well!! No worries - I will fish out who loved this book and see if anybody wants to lead it and if there are no takers, I will do it! Thanks for the heads up! Now that I have returned to this thread, I will edit this list to put in the clublets!! Hopefully word will spread and I will be sure to point it out when the next shout-out for Exercised goes into the regular crowd. fitin14, lee058, bumblebuzz21, sal, honeybzzzs, peacemama, Viognier, bernelli, sparkles,

moosishun, thank you! I am fine with leading it at a later time if no one else steps up. This has just turned into a really busy time and I haven't picked up a book in days which is really unusual for me.

That book discussion wasn't even on my radar. I haven't read it yet, so I'll have to join the thread later.
ETA I just checked my local library -- the ebook was available to borrow.
