Good morning everyone!
Just sitting out having our coffee watching the sprinklers and the hummingbirds. The ceiling fan makes it really nice and comfortable. We plan to spend the day out and about driving down to Savannah (TN) about 50 miles away. Checking out some antique places and trying out a new restaurant I have read good things about. Hope you each enjoy your day!
Maryenne, I hope your flight got off ok and will be a smooth trip. Enjoy Thomas!!
Lynn, Esther, and Peg hope you each have a great day!
I'll check back later . . .

Good morning everyone,
Safe travels today Maryenne! Enjoy every minute of your time with Thomas and his parents and Happy Birthday tomorrow! Did you and DH go out for a birthday dinner last night?
Joyce, enjoy your DD’s visit this weekend.
Lynn, how is your temp doing this morning? My DH had an ultrasound this morning at 8:00 so I waited in the car and there was a really beautiful breeze which made me think of you having your coffee and breakfast on your porch. Hope your weather allowed for that this morning. We have a lot of smoke in the air from the forest fires out in the northwest. Oh I want to tell you that the landscaper added a different variety of hibiscus. I think the flower will be white with a red center and red edges on the pedals. There is one bud that is almost ready to bloom. When it does I’ll share a picture and the variety.
Esther, it seems like Ruby has finally getting all settled in at your house. I think it is fun that she likes to lay in the sun. I don’t know that I would like it so much, especially with her dark fur. Does she has any favorite food treats that she enjoys? How is your shoulder doing?
Our high today is to be 86 which they say will be our coolest day for at least the next 10 days. Yuck! I don’t mind the heat too badly but the humidity is the killer for me. We will have lunch with our usual lunch group. One of the gals is having real issues with a hiatal hernia and the dr. wants her to eat only easily digestible foods and only four bites at a time. He wants her to do that for the rest of her life. I asked her if she had gotten a second opinion. That sounds pretty severe to me. Do any of you have any knowledge about this kind of issue?
Well we are enjoying the opening ceremony for the Olympics this morning. Wishing everyone a great day and an even better weekend.
Peg

Good morning dear friends.
DD is postponing her trip until next week. I am ready whenever she comes! Tonight we are hosting a family bbq. DD’s best friend and his family will be joining us. SWe finally get to meet his daughter- she’ll be two in the fall. Burgers, dogs, veggie burgers, macaroni salad, corn on the cob, baked beans, green salad. S’mores for dessert. I’ll stop at the farm stand today for the corn. Joyce, enjoy your drive today. Let us know about the restaurant! Peg, the hibiscus sounds beautiful- can’t wait to see a picture of the bloom. I agree that your friend should get a second opinion. That does sound like an unsustainable way of eating if there is an alternative. Esther, I hope the neighbor gets the plumbing issue solved and that her insurance will pay for your damage. water damage can be expensive to mitigate. A newly paved road will be nice! Safe travels to Maryenne today. Have a peaceful day. Lynn

Hello friends
Joyce - I hope you enjoy your day out. It sounds like fun.
Peg - the flower sounds really interesting. Send us a picture when it blooms all the way. I hope you are keeping cool in the heat. How close are the fires?
Maryenne - I hope your trip is going well. First class should be enjoyable.
Lynn - Your BBQ sounds nice. You are very understanding about DD's plans.
The town showed up this morning and dug up the street. Everyone moved their car so that was good. My upstairs neighbor knows what she was doing that caused the leak in my bedroom and stopped doing it. She says she will paint my ceiling to get rid of the stain. I don't know if that will be enough. I finally heard from the roofer today. He is coming this afternoon to take another look at the leak in the living room ceiling. Tonight we have an outdoor service at someone's house and a BYO dinner. I will pack myself a picnic with chicken and avocado salad and some cherries. I am having a struggle getting back to services. I have gotten used to doing it on Zoom.
Have a good weekend everyone.
