Thurs Liq good GHGs missing an oil and a dairy APs check-actually did Thursday's mileage on Thursday. Huzzah! SPs 41/30 I need to figure out how to incorporate some salty stuff in my current plan without it being potato chips.

I think I'm ready to do my first long run outdoors tomorrow-going to do part of the actual race route in Lincoln Park, so that will be good. I got lots done yesterday, so I feel all righteous and stuff. LOL.

I'm going to put these flowers in my car. It's in the parking garage, so they should be ok. I can't work with them in my office.

Good Morning Ladies: I saw the best musical last night. Cast must have been 50 and at least 30ish of them were tap dancing in a bunch of the scenes. Good old time musical "Anything Goes". Plus an awesome Italian restaurant. I had veal picata and salad. small servings and big prices kind of place. I haven't figured it out. GHG's: all Water: good - those capers were so salty you could put a few in a salad and get your quota up Cyn! AP's: more walking than usual. I had the boot off for the evening..foot was ok, SP's: didn't check-I know, 20 lashes with a wet spaghetti strand. Tonight is Painting with a Twist with a friend in Mt. Dora. We are painting the towns lighthouse, so hoping I do better. I an really enjoying the painting.....just not the results. Heres to one more try.

I have 7 miles on Saturday. I have to locate the Garmin that I carefully put away somewhere. They don't have a very good mile marker system along the Lakeshore and in the Park, which is really annoying. It would be nice if they'd provide a detailed course route for the race, which would help.
What's your race date? What's your long run?
Edited to add: Sherry, that sounds great! I love watching tap dancers. Have a blast with your painting tonight.

Wow up to 7 miles already?! I'm still putzing along with my short distances but I run 5 days a week. My race is a half marathon up a mountain on oct 22! When is yours, Cyn? Oh and I use my phone for distance. I keep it in my bra when I run or in my camelbak

Mine's 9/17, Women Rock Chicago Half. No hills. I think the highest elevation is 250 ft. LOL.
I just looked at the forecast for Sat-Tstorms o'night through noon, then ghastly humidity. I may have to rethink the tread...

TGIF!
Back to work today. Bonus early start at 6:15am as I had a client to test in the lab. All went well and I was able to have one of my newer students help out to get more experience.
Cyn & Wombat - my marathon on 9/17 will come in somewhere between Wombat's crazy hills and Cyn's flat as a pancake run. There are sections that are flat through the grasslands, but there are some decent hills at the beginning, middle and end. Oh, and there are rocks, roots, and sections that are sandy. Fun times!
Q - I traveled extensively in the western states since my grandparents lived in eastern Washington state. We went every summer when the factory that my father worked at would close down for summer maintenance. My travels to the east coast have been very minimal. I'd love to get to Maine some day.
Thursday: GHGs - good Liquids: good Activity: Upper body work with a band (still need to take it easy on weights due to recent eye surgery), 65 treadmill easy walk/run, 35 min bike, stretching Calories: A little over. There was a work meeting last night. Mindful eating: Good

I could definitely imagine you do not need to be straining with the new cataractless eyes!! I need to get moving too. Maybe not you guys hills and mountains in the heat, but certainly back in the pool. My stamina is going down to zilch. I am in the boot in the groc store the other day and it had my back hurting and a pain stabbing down the middle of my butt so badly that I actually had to rest on the cart nearly every isle. pfft on this stuff. I am back in that pool today.....there is plenty I can do without the foot.

I had a revelation just now. The two days that I went over my cals because I got up during the night with a sweets craving? Those were days I had Diet Coke at lunch. (I've pretty much given up Diet Coke, but I had lunch meetings and the choices were either DC or something sweet.) I know Diet Coke makes me crave sweets, which is why I stopped drinking it. So there's my big light bulb moment.

Funny, my memory pic on FB t his am was of Zoey trying on her clothes from last years shopping spree on the same date. She sure has grown. They are all going to be Amazon people compared to me and their mom. Cameron has been 12 about 2 weeks and he is wearing a mans shoe size 10.5 Wide. Zoey and her mom wear the same size shoe and she is 7.
