I came back! Thanks for tagging me mare. I track every day, and have been working on my STs, what Dr. Beck says is true (about if you give in to your STs it's more likely you'll give in the next time you have one). Who'd have thought it? I'm going to try to avoid buying my trigger foods for the upcoming holiday season. My STs tell me it won't be Christmas without <insert Lisa's trigger food here>. I'm going to confront them and answer them back. Not sure quite what I'll say yet but I will prepare.

I have been really really busy and It is going to continue through Thanksgiving. My cleaning lady has cancer and can't clean. I am getting ready for an exhibit at the library that has to go up the day after the Thanksgiving weekend and I'm expecting a house full of guests for Thanksgiving. I've caught up on the items I have to make for the exhibit, now I'm focused on cleaning the house, and then Thanksgiving meal prep and yard cleanup.
I am sorta reading cards but not eating very well. I have been making soup for lunch. But Halloween candy got to me. My exercising has been mainly going up and down stairs.
I will be back as soon as I have these other things under control - possibly the day after the Thanksgiving weekend or next week if I catch up with the rest of the work before then.

Hi, I did cleanout prep Wed and had procedure #2 yesterday.
I sat down last night, and thought long and hard about the best way for me to approach Thanksgiving this year.
Ever since my old faithful place where I had gotten takeout turkey dinner for 10+ years changed hands I've been chasing that traditional meal w bad luck. I know that I will have delicious turkey dinner at Christmas at Roses' place, where I've been invited back again 🙂. She also sent me home w leftovers last year, which was awesome.
I don't need to try to recreate my old Thanksgravypie day, especially since I have to watch carbs now.
I've got some indulgent but still healthy options planned to observe the occasion, healthy homemade pizz over the frigid upcoming weekend, salmon from the freezer w prosciutto wrapped asparagus bundles, Aldi boxed truffle tortellini that I'll add tons of sauteed mushrooms to w an arugula/bresaola/shaved parm salad. I can get a single slice of pumpkin pie, if I decide I really want one. I plan to get out early and do my own Turkey Trot along the lake, the local one has gotten way too largely attended to enjoy for me anymore. I have a colonoscopy on 12/2, so can ease into a low residue menu right after TG to assist the prep.
Happily, the new WW plan helped me out, since it basically went back to the Blue Plan I had been following, and gave me back salmon/shrimp as a Zero point food too.
I need to check in with my coach.
Oh, and I am staying out of all GDT TG/holiday food threads until next year. I found last year that that really helps me avoid triggering myself.

At times when I am in a slide, or just kind of out of GAS (give a shit,) I do find that if I at least eat my usual healthy bfast and have soup for one meal I'm being mindful 2/3 of my day so I'm not completely giving up to self indulgence. And if I track those 2 easy meals, I'm more likely to track the third.

I’m in. I decided I was getting back to Beck and exercise starting tomorrow. My guests are gone, the work I needed to get done is over. Now I can relax and get back into my usual routines while I finish up cleaning after them and putting the garden to bed next week.
