I have been on Ozempic for 2 months, lost a bit, and now am stalled, but asdie from stopping eating and feeling satisfied, I have not done anything to really lose.
Gonna get back to the book.

Made split pea soup in my crockpot yesterday. No trigger foods currently in my environment. Working on new week meal plan. Working on my water this week, after having a test procedure that required a full clean out. I had some bad leg cramps, so I know I got dehydrated. Been getting in very regular activity. Tracking. Need to get in touch w my coach, we've gotten sporadic lately.

Every one of my posts seems to be the same. Got home from another trip. Same weight as when I left even though yesterday I seemed to exist on nuts, bananas, and too many chips while flying almost all day. Still 3# above where I was last spring, which isn't bad but we're going into big eating season. So back to basics at least until we leave again in 3 weeks. Going to read ARCs. I have been walking quite a bit and will continue that and today I plan to go to DSs where I will rake.

Hi, lani I'd be interested in that clean eating chili recipe, please. There is a comfort in repetition and habit for me. I'm getting ready to start a few days of light eating prep for test #2 that requires a full clean-out on Thursday am. Thinking I will try the Costco Thanksgiving meal kit for myself, and then I have a colonoscopy the week after that, so another clean-out. I'm all over the place mentally and emotionally with all these procedures, and trying desperately not to rely on comfort food as a soother. Also, apparently the WW plan is making a big change, so who knows what adjustments that will require? Ditto w a lot of emotions wrapped around knowing this will be the last week with the 2x/week walk with Roses and the lovely little boy she's been minding. It has been a true sanity saver since we started walking together weekly, in almost all weathers, back in April of 2021. We will definitely try getting together, but I will miss both her and the little man dreadfully and need to make sure I get those walkabouts in on my own. Thanks for letting me vent here.

that clean eating chili recipe, Well, it's from 2012. I don't know how much the "clean" standards have changed. 1 lb. extra-lean ground beef (which I have never found, I just use the 85/15%) 1 yellow onion, chopped 1 stalk celery, chopped 1 cloves garlic, mined 2 Tbsp. low-sodium tomato paste (again I have never seen any labeled low-sodium) 1-1/2 Tbsp. chile powder - This is where it goes wrong. It came out WAY too hot. The major problem with CE recipes is they are death on salt, so they invariably overdo it with the spices. I would cut that chili powder amount in half, at least. 2 tsp. ground cumin 1 tsp. dried oregano 1 - 15 oz. can black bean, rinsed and drained 4 cups jarred or boxed diced tomatoes (again they specify unsalted, not necessary IMO) 1/4 cup fresh or frozen corn kernels (thawed if frozen) 1/2 cup low-sodium vegetable or chicken broth (or water) 1/4 tsp. each salt and black pepper Corn bread: 3/4 cup whole-wheat flour 1/2 cup whole-grain cornbread (not stone ground.) The only whole grain I could find was stone ground. The only not stone ground was not whole grain. So I went with the latter. 1-1/2 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 1 egg 1 cup low-fat buttermilk 1 tsp. olive oil 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro or parsley (I used Italian parsley) 1/3 cup shredded low-fat cheese. I used 1/2 cup. Preheat oven to 400. In a large, deep ovenproof skillet on medium, add beef, onion, celery and garlic and saute, breaking up with a spoon, until beef is no longer pink and vegetables are soft, 6 to 8 minutes. Add tomato paste, chile powder, cumin and oregano. Cook, stirring constantly for 30 seconds. Add beans, tomatoes, corn, broth, 1/4 tsp salt and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 12 minutes. Meanwhile prepare cornbread. In a medium bowl whisk flour, cornmeal, baking powder and 1/4 tsp. salt. In small bowl whisk egg, buttermilk and oil. Pour over flour mixture and add cilantro (or parsley). Stir just until combined, spoon 8 dollops evenly over top of chili, using all the mixture. Bake 30 to 35 minutes, until corn bread is golden and cooked through. Remove from oven, sprinkle with cheese. Switch oven to broil, watching closely, until cheese is bubbling, 1 minute. Let stand for five minutes before serving. Oh yeah, serves 8. Nutrients per serving (1-1/2 cups and 1 piece cornbread): 218 calories, 27 grams carbs, 5 g fiber, 3 g sugar, 17 g protein. I would add more salt throughout and greatly reduce the chile powder, as I mentioned. It's quite the production, which I why I doubled it. If you do double it do everything in two pans. There is not a single pan big enough to hold it all if doubled. Now, back to credits: Saturday: Weighed - down 0.2 lb.
