Morning Ners and ATF 🌞
Ners, the floors look great!
Mom's coming over today. DH and I got most everything unloaded yesterday except for the cedar chest and the large garage cabinet. Mom can help with those and then we'll have to rearrange the garage. Tomorrow is strawberry picking day!

Good morning hotties. Happy Weather Wednesday. I deposited $61 into savings. 2023 total = $181.00. Azflamingo22 This morning I heard on the news that Scottsdale is no longer delivering water to certain surrounding areas. Does this affect you at all? Sounds like you will be getting out just in time. Hotness77 , The business sites I follow agree with your DH. I've been trying to figure out what they are doing to prepare but they are either tight lipped or all over the place. Gypsy3n8 , (((Fresh strawberries))) are the best. What are you going to make with them?

I need to buy a couple of dinners for the high traffic areas The floors look great, Hotness77! Enjoy the "dinners" in the high traffic areas. Gypsy3n8 - yay for getting the trailer mostly unloaded. Have fun strawberry picking! annhtx - I didn't get to choose any of my finishes - builder had pre-selected everything - so I'm getting granite counters. I can't remember what other options they had but I've heard good things about quartz counters. Yesterday was a no spender. Today moved $67 to savings for the Wednesday Weather Challenge.

Good morning. No plans for today. Will go out for a walk if it doesn't rain. Looks like the high temp is going to be 68, but I'll wait to make my savings deposit.

Morning! Yesterday was what I posted, today should be a no spender.
Something’s wrong with my dog. She refuses to eat anything. I finally got her to eat a little bit of scrambled egg last night and she immediately threw it back up. So probably a vet visit soon.

I forgot that I also ordered some Color Street Nail strips, $13. I’ve had pale pink polish on my nails for about 2 weeks and they’re already getting stained. Plus I end up doing them every 3-4 days. I think I’ll probably end up getting solar nails again but they’re so expensive. I’ve budgeted for “fun money” each month and they’d have to come out of that.

Jels, My Grand dog was having the same digestive issues a few weeks ago. I made her chicken and rice for a day and half and that seemed to help. She could keep it down.

Hotness77, I was so tired last night, I thought your pictures were of Tootles kitchen. I was all confused! haha! The floors look amazing! spicy, the parenting class I learned of in October? I wanted ex to go (don't lol!), but in light of him not going, I thought, I'll learn something- and there is value in that. It's about Active parenting vs, authoritative or being a door mat. It's good stuff. Doesn't help with what DS is going though, but on like what is disciple, how to do it, how to have conversations, what it looks like to the parents and to the kids. Small group of parents, like 5-6 households and we share stories. Good networking. Logically I couldn't get to sleep... and had to be up at 4 for work, so tired. Going back to read today's thread.

Tootles, chicken and rice is what my dog regularly eats and she won’t touch it. She seems fine otherwise. Not acting sick at all, but hasn’t eaten in 2 days. I had bought her some new treats that I think may be the cause which is why I haven’t taken her to the emergency vet. I’m hoping it clears on it;s own.

Jels - maybe try to get her some pumpkin? I hope she starts eating, doesn't get to acting bad or anything. I need the builder of my house to finish the damn thing before whatever may happen happens. I'm ready to have my own space back!

Nice full work calendar to keep me distracted, I appreciate that! Lawyer at 10am today, get that ball rolling. And tonight the heart to heart with DS on what is going on, granted at his level. I don't want him blindsided either, although he's going to feel that way regardless. Unfortunately.
No sure what's for dinner yet. Need to do some grocery shopping later.

Good Morning Ladies: Yesterday I was not able to get onto this site...everything else was ok online. It was a boring day anyway. Dog walks, feeding dogs, TV, puzzles, solitaire, tiniest bit of housework, bill paying. Good thing today is a re-do!! Today I really need to catch up on some things. It will finally be back to temps I enjoy (mid 70's). I thought we were done with cold and didn't bother to call to get the heater fixed, so I have been cuddling with space heaters for days again. Zoey finally left Monday afternoon (9 days). That was enough teen angst for a long time! Apparently, my teeth were gritted so hard when mom picked her up that she cancelled Zack coming for 2 nights for me to get to school this week and he is with his dad (even tho last week was dads week). LOL....It's ok, I earned my time off! Mon, Tues & Wed no spenders! But going to lunch with friends tomorrow. Squid, great DIY job!! __I have now done tons of them thanks to Utube!! Spiff, my handyman installed my whole house with 25 year recessed bulbs. My living room is 23 feet high and no way I can do it even with the extender thingy....so I eliminated the whole thing as long as I'm around..LOL Dutch, the pic looks like a perfect post card---from here tho! We have your back and there is a lot of help in our group. Ners, love the new floor. You're right--looks bigger. Az, good news for your friend. Ann, go with the quartz--no sealing and much stronger. Gyp, fresh made strawberry jam is easy... Jels, don't feed her--just give water for a day t hen a little pumpkin for a couple days. Give her pepto bismol. What are solar nails? So many dogs seem to be getting pancreatitis, I sure hope it is not that. Prin, what is your move in date now?

Jells - hope the pup is ok!! Hugs! Dutch - hugs to you too. If you need someone to talk to send me a text sometime and we’ll plan to talk. Gypsy - strawberries in January??? So lucky. My kids would be in heaven. We have them in the grocery store year round but the ones we get are terrible this time of year.

Hotties! Dh is off having breakfast with his buddy. I have running to do later. Crocheting group, post office, pick up check or old rings. Jewlery store is appraising my old gold to sell. Impatient to have this mess all done and over with. Starting on the kitchen stuff today. I just don't want to have to move all this crap. I'm willing to dump it all. Weather is only supposed to be 57. tootles, Scottsdale gave that subdivision a year to make other arrangements for their water. It's not uncommon for people to build where there is no water source. They truck it in to holding tanks. These people knew the City was not renewing contracts. This is an ongoing problem here. Building where there is no water available. They just announced yesterday a HUGE subdivision west of the valley 'should' not be built because there is not a 100 year water supply. (Ground water won't be sufficient to service those homes for 100 years. I guess it's a standard to plan by.) But we've sold or leased our ground water to the Arabs. Yup. We're not known for being the brightest bulb in the box. Did you hear about the huge water park being built across from the Cardinals stadium? Ya, it was supposed to be ready for the Super Bowl. Now its completion date is later into the Fall. Thousands of gallons of water for huge pools. Complete with a hotel and entertainment stages for bands. But we're supposed to be buying drought tolerant plants and taking out green yards, low flow faucets and all the rest. Stupid people making bad decisions.

SherryD, solar nails is just how they’re done. They’re the standard pink and white, polished nails. But they last a long time. My nails grow really fast, so I have to have them filled every 2 weeks, and that’s about $50.
AZ, we have a drought every single summer with Stage 2 water restrictions and yet we’re the fastest growing city in Texas. Homes and apartments sprouting up everywhere but I haven’t heard anything about how they’re going to increase our water supply. Most city leaders are idiots.

Jels, I wash dishes and shower daily as well. They last as long as the Color Street ones do; about 2 weeks. You can extend them by putting clear polish on top every few days.
