Good morning friends,
I have a dentist appointment at 10 just for cleaning. DS1 will go with me and then he wants to get a haircut. We'll probably grab some brunch and then stop at the store for deli meat. Seems we've been eating a lot of sandwiches this week.
John has decided to go to Colombia and seek out a teaching job. I'll drive him to the Jacksonville airport on Monday. I hope it works out for him.

Good luck to John with the possible teaching position. I hope your dentist appointment is just routine.
I went to the knee doctor this morning and we have decided to initiate another round of gel injections in September when we return from San Francisco. He also wants to see what the surgeon recommends for the parathyroid issues. I see him the first of August.
The great grandchildren are happily playing with their purchases from yesterday. We may go splash in the kiddie pool if they want. That’s it for my excitement.

Good afternoon everyone! Maryenne, I also send wishes for good luck to John in securing the teaching position. Lynn, does that mean the doctor doesn't feel you're at the point yet for knee replacements? I would be like you and opt for the injections as long as they will help. That's like me with my hips. As long as the injections work, I am sticking to them and avoiding replacements as long as I can. Have fun with the great-grandchildren! Esther, waving to you! I've been running errands all day and just got home, but I have gotten quite a lot accomplished including I got a much needed pedicure which is always a treat to just relax in the chair while they give your legs a massage, etc. I always get the grandchildren back to school gifts. Usually new backpacks, but this year I'm going to treat DGD to a back-to-school pedicure and some shopping. She's excited about that. DGS is deciding what he would like to have. It is so much harder for me with him now that he's older. I know what girls enjoy, but other than the fact that he's a baseball fanatic I have no clue about what he would really like. I'm not sure he does either.  If all else fails, I'll get him a gift card. That's always a pretty safe bet. Here school will be starting back around the 11th of August. I think orientation is actually the 4th. Enjoy the rest of your day! |

I took Ruby to the vet for another blood test. I should find out tomorrow what the results are.
She is minding the heat and humidity.
My DGS put my AC in the window but I can’t get it to turn on.
