Good morning everyone and hope your week is off to a good start!
Lynn, the pork loin as well as your side dishes sound delicious! I should try grilling a pork loin. I've always just done them in the oven or the crockpot. A couple of times I've done one in the air fryer, but I like the idea of grilling it. Summer, even with all the fresh vegetables available, always seems the hardest time to menu plan, as it gets so hot here and so I'm always trying to think of things to cook that won't require heating the kitchen up too much.
Esther, when will you have your 2nd cataract surgery. It sounds like the first one has gone really well. I'm sorry Don was having a bad day yesterday. As you know those days are going to happen, but it's still never easy to see.
Maryenne, I hope you are enjoying your visit with Thomas and family and also the one-on-one time with James. I don't remember what day your birthday is, but I think you were going to be celebrating it there so Happy Birthday as well.
It's a beautiful day here, but starting to warm back up into the 90s. Yesterday we stayed in the high 80s which was nice, but we knew that would not last. I think it's supposed to gradually warm a little more each day this week so that combined with the humidity will be hot and steamy. Still I won't complain after the few days we spent in Austin. Lynn, how is your daughter's family adjusting to the heat there? We lived there in the late 90s, but I don't remember it ever feeling as hot as it did when we were there recently for just a few days. I just got a Schwan's delivery, so I need to go get the food stored away in the freezer.
