Good morning!
I’m up early because DH took a friend for cataract surgery this morning. I will be watching DGGD for part of the day. She has agreed to come with me to get my hair done at the salon where her mom works. We’ll go to McDonalds for her chicken tenders. First I need to run to CVS and then the grocery store for a couple of things. I love to get errands out of the way when the weather is cool in the morning. I should say cooler!

Good morning!
I'm sitting out on the deck with my coffee. It's lovely out here this morning.
Cathleen is sick, but she's going to her conference in Denver anyway. They are taking James' car to the shop in a few minutes and then he'll take her to the airport. I guess Thomas will get dropped at daycare at some point. Not sure what I'll do today - take a shower and work on lesson plans. Empty the dishwasher.
DH said one of our two hot water heaters seems to have died, the one serving the kitchen and the guest bathroom. They're nearly 30 years old so I guess it's their time.

Good morning everyone!
Lynn, have fun with DGGD today. McDonald's always seems to be a hit with the little ones, and she'll enjoy seeing her mom at work.
Maryenne, hope you enjoy your quiet day. Sorry about the hot water heater, but hopefully it won't be too much of a problem to get a new one. When we bought this house it came with a tankless system, and we've enjoyed that.
Esther, hope all is well with you, your family, and Ruby.
It's a gloomy day here and muggy. Not sure if we'll get rain or not. Not really anything new going on other than DH's nephew and his wife had a new baby boy yesterday in Utah. This is the nephew that I think I mentioned at one time having the kidney transplant. DH was very pleasantly surprised to learn that they have named the baby after him. He felt very honored. They said they were naming the baby for him because he was the first of his family to come from Serbia to the US. He later brought all his family a little at a time, and this nephew's father was the first one he brought here years ago. So they said they wanted to honor DH as without him they would not be enjoying the life they have now. I thought that was very sweet of them.

How nice that you can stay a few extra days and help take care of Thomas.
I have completed almost a week since the cataract surgery. Tomorrow I will drive to my next checkup appointment. Today I graduated from 4 eye drops per day to 3 eye drops per day. I have one more night to wear a shield over my eye. The surgeon is pleased with my progress.
I visited Donald and found him in a diaper. I hope that was temporary. He said he had diarrhea. He was talking to an aunt and uncle. The nurse said he had been talking to them all day. It’s so sad to see him like that.
