Good morning!
We both slept later than usual this morning as we were both exhausted when we went to bed. Spent from about 1:30 yesterday afternoon until about 5:30 or 6:00 last night in the ER with DH getting a head CT. All was well, but he was weak yesterday and right after lunch I ran to the store to buy some Glucerna for him, because he hasn't been eating well and I thought that might help at least give him nutrition. His truck was in the driveway, and for some reason while I was gone he decided to take a picture of the vanity plate he has on the front of it. (Men!) He went outside, tried to squat down in front of his truck, lost balance, went over backwards hitting the back of his head on the concrete. Because he was behind his truck, the neighbors could not have seen him. He was down for awhile struggling to get back up, but managed to get up and when I got home he was on the couch. The back of his head was bleeding. I felt he should be checked out. He agreed but wanted to go to the Convenient Care which is a part of the big clinic we normally go to. So we did, and they got him in quickly. The doctor felt he should get a CT, but turns out they can't do CTs on the weekend so she called the closest ER and had me take him there. Long story short, he is fine but sore and achy this morning.
While we were at the convenient care I realized he didn't have on his hearing aids. They had fallen out in the driveway when he fell. So before putting the car back in the garage when we got home I checked the driveway, and sure enough found them both. Thank goodness I had not already run over them with the car, and a big storm was blowing in. I found them about a minute before we had monsoon like rain. I guess all is well that ends well, but we both were exhausted. Oh yes, the CT did find that his left sinus was completely clogged so they sent him home with an antibiotic for that.
