Good morning friends,
Joyce, what an awful day you and DH had yesterday. I'm glad it was not too serious in the end and I hope he is feeling better today.
Lynn, I think you are at the hospital right now and hopefully finished with your procedure. Highest healing thoughts are with you.
Esther, glad things are progressing with your eye and that you're almost finished with your drops.
Everything is fine here. I had a lot of paperwork to do for the Refuge board but got it done finally. My friend Suzanne is having a cardioversion procedure tomorrow. She lives way south at the coast and has no one down to drive her, so I will spend the night down there tonight and take her to the hospital. It's about an hour drive down to her house and then another 90 minutes back north to the hospital, so it seems easiest for me to just go down there. A lot of driving for sure. Now just waiting for them to tell her what time to be there. If it's in the afternoon, I'll drive down tomorrow morning instead of today.

Lynn, thinking of you with your surgery today. Sending my very best wishes that all will go smoothly and you will recover and heal quickly. I know you will be glad to have this behind you.
Esther, I'm pleased your cataract surgery has gone well and you will soon be ready for the second one. I hope you'll find that it improves your sight a great deal. That was definitely the case for me.
Maryenne, you are such a good friend! I know Suzanne appreciates all you do for her. It's hard when you don't have family or friends nearby that you can call on in times of need. Sending well wishes for her procedure.
All is well here. DH is feeling better although he is sore and stiff. Yesterday we just pretty much laid around the house all day resting up, but today I think it will be good for both of us to get out and about so we're going to do that. We'll drive up to a large antique mall that we haven't been to in awhile. It's about an hour drive, we'll have lunch while we're out, and there will be quite a bit of walking through the mall as it's very large taking up most of an old strip mall. Maybe that will help DH work out some of the stiffness. Wishing you each a lovely day! Safe travel to you Maryenne.

Well I am back. And pissed. The pre-admission testing nurse gave me the wrong information about when to stop taking the blood thinner and the surgeon - rightfully so- would not do the surgery. It has to be rescheduled. I can’t believe the pre-admission error. I am not happy at all. I am waiting for a new surgery date, should get a call later today. maryenne , sending mojo to Suzanne for a successful procedure. nashville11 , glad to hear Nick is feeling better. Esther, tell DS that hopefully an early arrival time may mean less traffic? Have a peaceful day. Lynn |
