Hello! I got ridiculously early this morning and did a little painting. (My new avatar is the photo I'm trying to duplicate in paint). Then I started working on the place in the kitchen that gets the least attention - above the stove.
Thomas and family are driving from Kansas City to Lake of the Ozarks for the week. Apparently it's horribly hot in the midwest - yesterday James said it was 100, and feeling like 115.
We had a little drop in humidity this morning and I was able to sit on the porch for a bit.

Maryenne, love that picture of Thomas! He is such a cutie. Hope you can post your painting when it's done.
Lynn and Esther waving to each of you. Lynn, when do you leave for San Francisco? I've found that packing cubes are very helpful. I ordered mine from Amazon.
It's going to be hot and humid here today with temperatures climbing all this week. We're going out for lunch, but plan to wait until after the church crowds have cleared out. That may not be an issue in larger cities, but in small towns/cities here in the south restaurants are very crowded on Sundays at lunch time. Hope you each have a wonderful day.

I did a lot of errands today. The small TJ Maxx by me had no crowds and I got right in and out with the packing cubes. The farm stand had wonderful corn, green beans and heirloom tomatoes. We’ll have them for dinner with grilled pork chops. I was able to get the few groceries I needed at the small local grocery store. And I tended to the plants on the deck!
Maryenne, the photo of Thomas is so cute! I can’t wait to see your painting.
Esther, I was pleasantly surprised by the vibrancy of certain colors after my cataract surgery, too.
Joyce, the breakfast spots here are next to impossible to get into on Sundays. We usually go during the week.

My vision is a little less fuzzy today so I am encouraged. The eye must be healing.
