Good morning! I never made it here yesterday at all. I tutored in the morning and met former co-workers for lunch at a farm-to-table restaurant. I brought part of my lunch home, so I'll have that for lunch today. DH got up early and cooked us breakfast already. I've been painting this morning - in a while, I will drive up to the branch library and pick up a John Sanford book I requested. I also need to get eggs while I'm out. It's very, very hot here, so I'll stick to air-conditioned places.
Lynn, how did your appointment go yesterday? Joyce, hope you are staying cool. Esther, were you able to sort out your water bill?

Good morning everyone!
Maryenne, it's wise to stay in AC places right now. Sounds like you had a busy, but very good day yesterday.
Lynn and Esther, hope you have each gotten your day off to a good start; and, Esther hope you are able to find out an explanation for such a high water bill.
We are still under dangerously hot weather warnings. Schools are cancelling outdoor activities and my son-in-law who is the Athletics Director for the Parks & Recreation Department here says they have cancelled all activities. We are being warned of heat indexes up to 114 until at least Saturday, and even last night at about 10:00 it was still in the 80s. So not a lot of cooling down overnight. Extreme heat and major storms across the country, and yet so many people are still denying climate change. I'm no scientist, but I believe we have to trust science and believe it is very real. DD will get back home late this afternoon, so today will be my last chauffeuring for awhile at least.

Good afternoon dear friends My appointment went well yesterday. I really like my endocrinologist. She is so kind and compassionate. She told me that she would be the person to follow up with after my two week post op appointment with the surgeon. She told me what lab tests she would be ordering and why. I set up my six week post op appointment with her. DH and DS went to the Berkshires to pick some hops at our friend’s farm. They’ll be back tomorrow since we all have stuff going on this weekend and DH and I leave for San Francisco Tuesday. I am getting my BIL’s gifts today and tomorrow. maryenne and nashville11 , stay cool! It is cool here, we are expecting thunderstorms tomorrow.
