A quick hello before I go out for coffee with BFF. Then a few last minute errands before settling in this afternoon. We have an early flight out tomorrow. DD will bring us to the airport. I’ve already checked in and paid for the checked luggage. Have a peaceful day! Lynn

Good morning!
We are in prep mode for the potential storm. DH got up early and went and got marine gas for the generators. He also bought a couple of groceries from the little store and got some cash from the bank. We've both gone through hurricane preparations all of our lives and neither of us has been through much more than a heavy tropical storm. The generators will power our well and our refrigerators and freezer. If the power goes out, we'll be ok. We are 10 miles from the coast so no storm surge here. We moved up here from Miami the year before Hurricane Andrew - my house down there did fine, but his house was completely destroyed.
Lynn, I hope you have a smooth and uneventful flight to San Francisco tomorrow! Joyce, I wish we had your cooler weather! Esther, hope you've been able to get the leak fixed.

Lynn, have a safe trip filled with a lot of fun. It's great your daughter can take you to the airport and then pick you back up. That makes it much easier.
Maryenne, my fingers are tightly crossed that you won't have any issues from the coming storm. It sounds like you and your DH are well prepared.
Esther, hope all is well with you and Ruby.
It feels like fall here and our temps are going to be only in the 80s all week. Next week they'll be back in the 90s, but I am hoping the worst of the heat is behind us. We still have flowers blooming, but you can tell everything is clearly past its prime. Today I need to do Cinderella chores such as laundry, and I'm also going to make a quick run to the grocery store. With nice weather, grilling hamburgers sounds like a good option. We haven't used our grill much at all this summer as it's just been too hot to enjoy it. Waving to you all!
