Good morning!
My student just cancelled our tutoring session this morning which gives me more time to do other things. I have my group session this afternoon at the downtown library. That one is going very well - 5 women are coming to it, one from Iran, one from Ukraine, one from China, and two from South Korea. I enjoy them very much.
In the past month, I've gone off three of my meds - one for arthritis, a blood thinner, and now the statin. I'm pausing the statin for two weeks to see if the muscle pain goes away. Kind of anxious about another blood clot like I had in 2015 when I had to get stents in my heart. I'm going to be very focused on the food I eat and now that it's starting to get cooler, I should be able to start walking again soon.
Joyce, I expect you're getting ready for your trip Sunday. Are you driving down? Lynn, hope you aren't working too hard in the Berkshires. Esther, how are you and Ruby doing?
Hope you have a great Friday!

Good morning everyone!
Maryenne, your group ESL class sounds like it must be very interesting. What a diverse range of cultures you have among your students! I really admire you for becoming involved in this. To answer your question about our trip, yes, we are going to drive down. It's only about an 8 hour drive for us, so not that bad.
Lynn, hope you are enjoying your time in the Berkshires. How much longer before you'll begin to see the leaves changing color?
Esther, thinking of you and Ruby. I hope all is going well, and that you'll have time to post soon.
It's a beautiful day here and supposed to only be 80s. Yay! That's pretty much perfect. We have no appointments today, and I'm glad about that. I don't like having to be somewhere everyday. I actually enjoy some just "at home" time. I need to decide what we're taking to Florida with us Sunday, and start getting that laid out to pack tomorrow. It's easy to pack for a trip like that because you know if you forget anything there's always a WalMart nearby. Hope you each have a wonderful day!

Good afternoon! nashville11 , we saw some slight color changes yesterday when we were driving in the hills. Not the touristy eye popping colors, but the colors we know are pre-cursors for the stunning fall colors. maryenne , I understand the nervousness about going off the meds. Can your doctor step up the bloodwork to keep an eye on things? Hoping Esther and Ruby are doing good. We have a few things to do here in the yard. DH will mow tomorrow if there is no rain. He has labeled all of the dahlias with sticks that have the colors on them. They need to be dug up in the fall. He’ll put the tubers (roots) in buckets based on colors. Sending wishes for a peaceful day. Lynn

Hello friends
I’m still very low energy from all the humidity. Trying to get a few piles of paper sorted each day.
Ruby is having trouble with the humidity too. She spends a lot of time just panting.
Joyce, have a good trip. 8 hours is a long drive.
Maryenne, I hope fewer meds will help your muscle pain.
Waving to Lynn
