Over 60 and Still Working/Friday

Good morning friends!

I'm typing while eating my oatmeal. Since the cardio guy took me off the statin and blood thinner, I'm trying to be super conscious of keeping my cholesterol down, so oatmeal every morning. Yesterday was a long day and on top of DH's all day visit to the dermatologist, I had a Refuge board meeting last night. I picked up Mexican food on my way home so we had a late supper. DH had a blue light treatment on his face and scalp, so he is quite red. He can't go outside until Sunday. He got a few library books, so he's got something to do.

This morning, I'll tutor at the northeast branch library, stop somewhere for lunch, and then have my long TOEFL tutoring session this afternoon. After that, I'll stop at Publix to pick up an arthritis med that the rheumatologist is putting me back on. I've been having a lot of joint pain the past few weeks and ibuprofen isn't helping.

Enough about me! I hope you all are well. Joyce, I'm not sure if you're driving back today, but be safe. I can't wait to hear about your trip to the Riviera of the South. Hugs to you all.

Good afternoon!

maryenne , I hope DH doesn’t get cabin fever. He sounds much like mine. Always working and puttering outside.

I did not get here yesterday- long on-campus class, then drove DGD to work after she got out of school and then we went to see Funny Girl last night in Providence. What a great show! I never saw the movie, and only knew a couple of songs- People and Don’t Rain on my Parade. I am glad that we have started up the Broadway “season” here. I love live performances!

Today is quieter- grocery shopping and a few errands.

Hello friends

I haven’t been very good about posting lately. Don’s paperwork got away from me.

I finally got it sorted and applied to take money out for a prepaid burial for him. That’s the only thing besides medical expenses that we are allowed to spend his money on. I have an appointment with the funeral home next week. I find it really difficult to deal with this.

Now I have to sort out the finances for our condo association. We have received two huge water bills in a row and we’re trying to find out if the meter is broken.

I went to dinner and a service for Jewish New Year tonight. It was good to be there. I have gotten out of the habit of going to services since the lockdown.
