Good morning friends,
I woke up feeling puny, with digestive issues and bathroom visits. I'm feeling better but I'm going to be careful of what I eat today. I might go back to bed and read.
I'll check back in later.

Good morning! I hope you feel better maryenne , good idea to rest and read. I am making a roast chick=hen today with fresh veggies from the farm stand. Leftovers will be a lunch or two and soup. Busy week coming up. DH has his appointment for the driver’s license “upgrade” tomorrow morning when he renews his license. I am teaching Tuesday and Thursday, have a mammogram Tuesday, manicure Wednesday, haircut Thursday. Then DH wants to get to the Berkshires for a couple of days. I have my parathyroid surgery a week from tomorrow. I am all set for that, just need to discontinue some meds ahead of time and do a bland diet for a few days. Lots of chicken and white rice for a few days. I hope Joyce had a good trip, can’t wait to hear about their trip. Wishing Esther a Happy New Year. Have a peaceful day. Lynn

Good morning everyone!
Maryenne, I hope you feel better as the day goes on. Resting and reading sound like good therapy.
Lynn, after a busy week a trip to the Berkshires for a couple of days will probably be very welcome. It's nice just to have a change in routine and scenery.
Esther, how are you coming in figuring out Don's finances?
It's a beautiful day here. This morning we went to watch DD and DGS play mixed doubles in a pickleball tournament. That was fun to watch. They didn't win, but they did well. DSIL couldn't play as he's in quarantine with Covid. Thankfully it's a mild case and he was able to quickly get the Paxlovid.
We had a lovely time in Florida, the weather cooperated and was beautiful. Our condo was in a great location, and of course you just can't beat the view. This was the first time we've stayed that high up. This time we were all the way on the 18th floor (there are 23 floors). I wasn't sure I would like being that high up, but it was really nice. Fortunately the elevators were fast, and while there were a lot of people there was nothing like the crowds during the summer. We didn't do anything special while we were there, but it was nice to just kick back and relax. A change in the routine is always welcome. I used this trip as a "test run" to see about packing for us only using a roll-a-board bag each even though we drove down. That went pretty well, and I am determined to do that for each of the two cruises we have coming up. The ship has a laundry service, and trying to manage large suitcases has just gotten to be too difficult. DH is old school, and absolutely will not let me help carry anything. So even though once the bag is checked it's hands-off for us, still getting it to the airport, etc can be a problem. This time I packed that way and used the "roll" the clothes method. That worked pretty well.
Enjoy the day!
