Good morning friends,
I'm leaving soon to go to Thomasville again to see the actual rheumatology doctor. It feels like a big deal because I've only ever seen the PA. After that, I'm going to go by Big Lots and see if they have a short-ish bar stool to sit on at my easel.
I'll check back in later...take care!

Good morning! Sending good rheumatologist vibes maryenne We came up to the Berkshires for a couple of days. DH wanted to mow the lawn and do some yard work. We’ll head back Sunday. My parathyroid surgery is Monday- thank goodness! The office will call later to tell me what time to be at the hospital. I hope it’s early- I just want to get it done! Sending wishes for a peaceful day. Lynn

Good morning!
Maryenne, I join Lynn in sending you good rheumatologist visit vibes. Hope you find a bar stool that you like. I've found lots of good things at Big Lots. It's one of those stores where you just never know what you might find.
Lynn, sending good vibes to you also for your surgery on Monday. Is this outpatient surgery?
Esther, thinking of you and waving hello.
It's a beautiful day again here. This afternoon DH is taking my car for service, then DD texted last night to ask if I could pick the kids up from school this afternoon. So I will drive DH's pick-up truck to do that. I rarely drive that, so it will seem strange. Then this evening my Women's Club is kicking off the new season with a wine and cheese gathering. Hopefully to attract some new members, some younger members would be nice as the majority of us now are getting up there. The club is national, but our chapter has been around for about 80 years so it would be a shame to have it die out. We do have a few younger members, and hopefully will get a few more. Most younger women today, however, already have very busy schedules so that it's hard to fit anything else into the mix. I'll need to go early to help set up for that. Have a lovely day!

I had a good visit with the rheumatologist. He's ordered some x-rays and some physical therapy. He thinks it's a flare-up of my psoriatic arthritis and that it will subside. Meanwhile, I should take my anti-inflammatory every day for 10 days (my former rheumatologist told me not to take it every day if I didn't need it.) He seemed very thorough. I'll go back October 24 and see the PA.
I did find a stool at Big Lots! It has a cushioned seat so it will work well, I think. My back was hurting so I didn't spend any more time shopping there. I did go to lunch at a little place called "The Scoop" where you can get scoops of different kinds of salad. I had Asian slaw and Greek salad, with a little cup of shrimp bisque. So good!
mooselady12, definitely thinking of you with highest thoughts for your surgery on Monday!
1kflute, hugs to you and Ruby! Hope you're enjoying good weather!

My check in time is 7:30 am, I am guessing the surgery is around 9-9:30 and I should be home in the late afternoon. Thanks for the good wishes.
