Good morning!
I've been working this morning getting my office/guest room ready for John. It's pretty much done and I've moved onto the bathroom and kitchen floors. My back is only going to let me do so much though. Also did my PT exercises. I got a preliminary report back from the radiologist - it says that the rheumatologist is getting it at the same time, so I expect to hear from him next week. From what I can tell, there are multiple small spurs in the thoracic section and degenerative changes in the lower back/sacrum, which is exactly where my pain is. I do believe the PT is going to help and we'll see what else they suggest.
I hope you all are having a good day - the weather is beautiful here and DH wants to open some windows.

Good morning everyone!
Maryenne, I am so sorry you're dealing with back pain. That can be so difficult. I hope your PT will take care of it for you. If you find that it doesn't, you might want to ask about the steroid injections. In the beginning other things helped me, but now they are the only thing that does. Mine, however, seems to primarily be from my hips and sacroiliac. Enjoy John's visit!
Waving to Esther and Lynn. Lynn, how are you feeling today? I hope you are seeing improvement everyday.
Not sure what the day will bring here, but it won't be cool. At least the humidity is down. Turns out the man who was hit while walking in my subdivision yesterday was hit by a teenage girl driver. Such a tragedy all around. The last I heard the man had been airlifted to the Med in Memphis, rushed to surgery, and was critical. As for the young girl who hit him, I don't know anything about her but my heart goes out to her. She will carry the burden of this for the rest of her life.
However you spend the day, I hope you do something you enjoy.

Good afternoon. I am feeling better every day. The heating pad has helped with the neck and head pain, as has alternating the ibuprofen and Tylenol. I have cut back on those. We have a cat, Georgie, who DGD adopted when he was abandoned under a dumpster several years ago. It has been a long time in getting him to trust anyone other that DH. Since I have been home from the surgery, Georgie has not left my side. He slept on my lap this morning for a couple of hours, very unusual for him. He much prefers men, I have a feeling he may have been abused by a woman or had a close relationship with a man. maryenne , I know you will be excited to see James! Good to hear that the PT is helping. Joyce, Such sad news about the teenage girl who hit the man. I hope he is going to be okay. You are right- she will live with this the rest of her life. Waving to Esther. Not sure what we will do today- probably go for a ride somewhere. Dinner is made for tonight- stir fried veggies, rice and chicken thighs. Have a peaceful day. Lynn
