Happy October everyone, I'm chugging away here. My weight is "good" but would like to drop the last 4# but it will take time!
Have some primary goals I try to reach each day. *Sit while eating *Don't eat unplanned food *10K steps and whatever else I have assigned myself (weights, row, yoga) *Set aside quiet time (meditation app or not)
We leave for vacation (via road trip) with multiple stops and lots of miles. I have a good plan in place with many foods packed. Since the heart problem popped up in June I have had to make so many changes and I am good at tolerating others eating food I want (but is not good for me). So, DH might get a McDonalds meal and I have my own plan. I am not tempted (too much) by it. I use the phrase "Not my food" and move on.
Hope everyone is doing well.

mare, I'm interested in your retreat also. Sunday credits: Weighed - down 0.6 lb. No change from last Sunday. Maintaining in a good place. Read new posts, posted Exercised Meditated Tracked - had to guess on some baked goods. Ate sitting, mostly mindfully Wrote today's plan Re those baked goods. DH brought home 3 doughnuts that our young friend gave him at their weekly coffee klatch on Saturday. He ate all of one and half of another, and a couple bites of the third. I had one small bite Saturday, but ate the rest Sunday. Empty calories so I was still hungry for dinner and went over my plan for the day. Not a big deal.

I didn't log food because I was eating small amounts of stuff in order to calm my heartburn. I am seeing a GI doctor and she's asked me to stay off the acid blockers as they affect the results of some testing that she's scheduled. This started a few months ago and it is a giant problem. Today is going to be toast and bland stuff like last night's dinner. Grrrr. None of the snacking on crackers helped. I ended up eating 6 tums and drinking a ton of water + eating ice cream because it is soothing.

The retreat was great. Run by my mindfulness teacher and we were in this beautiful space. Time in silence, meditation, discussion, and sharing.

Still eating odd food at odd times based on how my stomach is doing. Sometimes lunch is just Tums and water and then I feel hungry later. A little less than two weeks to go before I can go back on the acid reduction meds.

Oct 5 credits: The day got away from me - I was running errands and went and got my flu shot and the next thing I knew, it was dinner time. So no exercise No exercise today. My GI system kept me up a lot of the night so I'm exhausted. ermabom, liking that you're posting. Not liking the GI stuff. Mine has been on the quietus lately, knock on wood. Thursday credits: Weighed - no change Read new posts, posted Meditated Exercised Tracked Ate sitting, mindfully breakfast and lunch Wrote plan for today DH and I rescheduled Friday pizza night to Thursday due to 12:30 baby shower on Sat. I didn't want to have pizza/wine tiredness then. I've been blowing past my plan every other day for a bit. No consequences yet, but I'm keeping in eye on the weight. Measurements are stable.

I managed to survive till bedtime without napping. I tried napping twice but couldn't fall asleep and decided I could do better than just lying there. Eating was hit or miss still but not much.

I wonder how much of this is the side effect of discontinuing the pseudo-ephedrine and switching anti-histamines. Oct 13 credits: Didn't log, didn't do anything except bake cookies. But I only ate one.
Somehow I was moving at molasses pace yesterday. Off to exercise now.
