We're getting packed up to go home. Yesterday we wandered around in the historic downtown district and later walked the long pier over in Pensacola Beach. It was really beautiful.

Esther, I'm sorry that Ruby is ailing. You've been so good to her and she has been a good companion for you.

I will move some houseplants inside for the season today. I may make a batch of applesauce and some spiced pecans today. Later DH and I will get our covid shots and we;LL go change the display window at the restaurant to Halloween.

It’s DGGD’s eighth birthday today! she requested that we go to Barnes and Noble Saturday so she can pick out her gift. I am thrilled to oblige! She and her brother came over yesterday and put out the fall decorations. They are anticipating the season for sure!

Just waving to everyone! We went to a mall on the outskirts of Memphis today shopping for DH a new light weight casual jacket. That man can drive me nuts shopping with him! LOL! He would be perfectly content to wear the same thing until it fell off his body in rags, and would never shop for any clothing unless he had to. But when he does (because he really has to now), he is impossible to please. Honestly, he is the pickiest person about clothes I've ever seen. Maybe that's because when he was growing up in his small Yugoslavian village his father was a tailor. He wants custom fit at off the rack prices. Also he doesn't like "new" styles, and if a shirt doesn't have pockets he's not going to have it. Do you realize how hard it is to find men's shirts with pockets now? Needless to say that we came home with nothing. He couldn't find anything that he liked. At least we got lunch out. LOL!
