Good morning! We made a quick trip up to MA for a quick lawn mow, work in a couple of garden beds and to charge the Ring doorbell. we’ll go back to RI in time for a rainy weekend! Today is DD1’s birthday! She is 48 years old. I can’t be the mother of children in their 40’s- LOL I think John is heading out today. It sounds like maryenne had a lovely visit with him. Waving at Joyce and Esther. Have a peaceful day everyone. Lynn

Good morning!
John's flight is 2-something so we'll head towards the airport around noon. When I get back I'll drive DH to the doctor for a check-up. He's going to see my doctor for the first time so we'll see how it goes. After that, I have a Refuge board meeting at 5:30, so a packed afternoon.
Hugs all around!

Good afternoon! Lynn, Happy Birthday to your DD1! 48 is not so bad -- I'm the mother of a 49 year old! I may have to seek therapy next year when she turns 50!! Maryenne, hope John has a safe and smooth flight back. Glad you've had this time with him, and hope your DH will like your doctor. Since we moved here is the first time ever that DH and I have had the same doctor, and now he's retiring at the end of the year so we'll be seeking a referral. I hate having to change doctors once we've found one we both like. Esther, thinking of you and waving. I got a haircut earlier today, and that's pretty much all I've got to show for accomplishment today and yet the time has slipped away with me feeling busy. DH had another fall last night. Those scare me. His dermatologist has him on hydrozyxine and I suspect that could be causing it. Since starting that med he sometimes has very vivid dreams, nightmares really, that he acts out. Last night he suddenly just sort of dove out of the bed. There was a loud crash, I jumped up and was running around the bed to see about him. He was in the floor, of course. We managed to get him back up (which wasn't easy), and he had a skin tear above his left eyebrow that was bleeding a lot as head wounds always do. Got that cleaned and bandaged, and got him back in bed but neither one of us really got any sleep after that so fingers crossed tonight will pass more peacefully. He sees the dermatologist again next week, and I plan to go with him as I want to discuss this with the doctor and see what he says about the med causing or at least contributing to this. I'll ask a lot of questions, and I know DH will not. Whenever the doctor asks him how he is, he'll same "fine" or "ok" and not really get into detail about what is happening. I, however, learned early on caring for my mom and dad that it's important to ask specific questions and someone needs to advocate for the patient. Maybe I'm wrong about the medication, but in reading about it online it does say that it can cause vivid dreams like this, and I know these dreams started after he began taking the medicine. This is the 2nd fall he's had because of vivid dreams, and we've just been lucky not to have any broken bones, but we can't depend on that luck holding.
