Good morning and happy new week!
I think I've recovered from last week, something every day culminating in the art event all day Saturday. Wow, I was really feeling my age Saturday night and Sunday. DH insisted that I rest on Sunday and I did, although I made a very good shepherd's pie from leftover roast chicken thighs, leftover mashed potatoes, a can of mixed vegetables, a can of cream of chicken soup, and a dash of sour cream. We ate the whole thing last night.
Today I have a dentist appointment at 8:30 just to do a re-line on my partial. After, I might stop at a nearby local coffee place to treat myself. Tomorrow and Thursday will be PT early in the mornings, and then tutoring on Wednesday and Friday. Oh, and an ear doc appointment Thursday after PT.
Joyce, are you going on a cruise? Somehow I missed that. I'm assuming that's why you're flying to Fort Lauderdale. Lynn, sounds like you had a lovely with your sweet DGGD. Esther, hope you had a good weekend.

Good morning everyone!
Maryenne, glad the art event at the refuge was such a success. I bet you were tired after such a full, busy week. Sometimes we don't really realize just how tired we are until we stop to rest and then it hits us all at once.
Lynn, did you enjoy the family party? I bet it was a lot of fun.
Esther, hope all is well with you. Is the colder weather bothering Ruby? I can feel it in my knees this morning!
It's bright and sunny here today, but considerably cooler every morning now. It does warm up during the day, but our hot weather has gone until next year. The stuffed pepper soup I made yesterday turned out to be very good, and we will have leftovers today. I took a recipe I found online and then kind of modified it with a little "this and that" so probably could never manage to make it exactly the same again. Mine turned out to be thick, so not so much a soup actually. I probably should have either added more broth or else not added as much rice. Wishing you each a lovely day!

Good afternoon! Knee gel injection this morning, spoke to eye doctor who cleared up some stuff for us about DH’s cataract surgery. He started his drops this morning. Off to but DGGD a bBarbie and car for her Christmas present. I have a feeling anything Barbie will be a hot item this year. Both of your dinners sound great maryenne and nashville11 . Dinner tonight (and tomorrow)- roast beef, delicate squash, green beans, salad and either rice or potatoes. Waving to Esther, wishing everyone a peaceful day. Lynn |
