Over 60 and still working/ Tuesday

Good morning dear friends!

My only plans for today are a manicure this afternoon and card league tonight. Dinner is leftover roast beef from last night, so that’s done. I need to make sure the guest room is ready for DD’s arrival tomorrow. DH may do that since he is not working outside today. The eye drops he is taking make his eye dilated and super sensitive to sunlight. He will also vacuum, so that’s a win! I’ll do all the outside errands today. Would you believe that I have started my Christmas shopping- LOL! Got DGGD a new Barbie and Barbie car for her Christmas present. Talked to DGD about what her brother wants and have an idea as to what to get him. The little kids are the only ones who get actual presents- the older ones get gift cards! 

Maryenne, I hope PT is helping. I am a big fan of PT, I wish more doctors would prescribe it. 

Joyce, I hope your fall weather brings some relief from the heat and humidity.

Lynn, I think you are wise to get your Christmas shopping started early especially for the young ones. Getting that Barbie doll and car now was probably especially wise. With the success of the movie, Barbie items are probably going to be the "hot ticket" items this Christmas. Enjoy your DD's visit. How long will she be able to stay?

It feels like fall here now, and looks like it will be a beautiful day. Not much planned here, but I am getting things together into one spot so it will be easier to pack for our trip, and so that I don't forget something that we might need. I still have plenty of time, but I'm a planner by nature -- probably too much so. Yesterday DD called, and my son-in-law's car is in the shop for repairs. She thinks it may be something serious, and so either will be in the shop for a few days or they will end up having to just get another car if repairs are going to be too costly. With their busy schedules they really need two vehicles all the time, so I told her he could use mine until his is repaired or they get a different one. Mine spends most of the time just sitting in the garage anyway, as usually when we go somewhere we go together, and DH always prefers his pick-up truck. The garage looks empty now with only one vehicle in it.

Hello! I went all the way to PT (20 miles) and they didn't have me on the schedule. I didn't get mad, but went grocery shopping instead. I might try to find someone closer. I did my PT exercises when I got home.

After going to the dentist yesterday, I bought a new couch! DH went with me to see it later and he liked it too. We won't get it until the end of November.
