Over 60 and Still Working/Wednesday

Good morning!

Lynn, I  hope your dental and medical stuff all got worked out yesterday. Neither DH nor I have any appointments this week other than my PT and tutoring, so nice long stretches of no obligations. We do need to schedule flu and Covid shots though, as soon as he's ready. He needs to schedule blood work, but since he's a night person he's having trouble figuring out the 12-hour fasting. Of course, I've given suggestions, but he's going to have to figure it out for himself.

I have tutoring at 10 with my Indian student at the branch library. She's very consistent and always on time, but I fear she'll never get to the literacy level needed for the GED, which is her dream. I think the best answer would be if she went to an adult ESL program every day, which is offered here through the school district (Adult and Community Education). However, she is very much a housewife in a patriarchal culture, so I don't see that as a possibility. We keep plugging away though.

maryenne , I swear our DH’s are kindred spirits!

Blood work post surgery was terrific! The dentist cleaned up and reinserted my crown. DH had a pre-cancerous bit removed from his nose, biopsy results next week. Meanwhile no medical visits for either of until next week!

I have a hair cut and color and mani-pedi today. I am thrilled to have some “me time”!

maryenne , your tutoring is helping your student immensely, even if she doesn’t attain her GED. You are certainly helping her improve her English.
