Good morning my friends,
Oh, Joyce, I hope you and DH are feeling better today. Orajel makes a mouth rinse that has lidocaine in it that helps with tooth and gum pain.
We had a quiet day yesterday and a lovely dinner with Suzanne last night. After we came home, we watched Skyfall. I love Daniel Craig as James Bond, almost as much as I love Sean Connery.
Today at some point when DH is up and ready, we'll head to Lowe's and look for a washing machine, hopefully one that we can put in DH's truck and bring home. I need to go to CVS and pick up a prescription as well.
We've got lots of leftovers from Azu and also some of the quiche I baked yesterday, so we're good for food.

Good morning dear friends! I hope you and DH are feeling better Joyce. maryenne , good luck with the washing machine shopping! Esther, I hope you and Ruby had a good day yesterday. Today DH is making turkey soup. I’ll stay out of his way and hang out with the great grandchildren. We’ll put away the few decorations from Thanksgiving and get ready to set up a few things for the Christmas village. Due to Georgie and Joey we can’t set up the entire village in front of the picture window, since it would get stomped on on their way to sitting in the window- LOL! I have a few locations where we can put a few pieces, so we’ll have some “sub” villages. Have a peaceful day. Lynn |

I was invited to a Thanksgiving dinner by someone I didn’t know because my grandson was going there. It was a very nice time. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome.
I hope everyone had a good day.
I’m going to visit Don this afternoon.
I need to make a vet visit with Ruby. She has a large lump on her hip and is getting lame.

Good afternoon everyone!
Maryenne, I'm glad you enjoyed the dinner with Suzanne, and good luck finding the perfect washing machine. I've had my new one for maybe a year now, and I'm pleased with it. It's a LG. My dryer, however, is an old Kenmore -- 32 years old to be exact! I keep expecting it to die anytime, but so far it just keeps working away.
Lynn, enjoy the time with the great-grandchildren and putting up some Christmas decorations. That should be fun for them. I usually do that the day after Thanksgiving, but this year I'm going to wait until Monday and keep the Thanksgiving decorations up until after Step-son #2 and DGS leave.
Esther, that's great that you enjoyed the Thanksgiving party with your DGS's friends/family. To me on a holiday like that the more people you have the better. Sorry to hear about Ruby's health issues getting worse.
We had a lovely Thanksgiving even though it was just the two of us. The restaurant was decorated for Christmas and beautiful with soft Christmas carols playing in the background, and the food (all except the dressing) was delicious and plentiful. We each brought home a To-Go box. Today we surprised ourselves by actually getting out and doing some Black Friday shopping this morning. It's been decades since I've done that! But DH needed a new tablet, and the one Step-son #1 recommended for him was on a good sale at Best Buy. We were surprised that the crowds were not bad at all when we went. We were able to get help quickly, make our purchase--although it was out of stock in the store so they're shipping it to arrive at our house on the 30th--and we were headed back home quickly. However, traffic was beginning to get bad by the time we started home so we were glad to be out of it.
Now I'm mixing together a couple of side dishes for tomorrow. That way I'll be able to just slide them in the oven to reheat when we are ready. Lynn, I looked up the recipe for mashed potatoes, and I'm going to make those. Thanks for the tip!

Hello again,
Esther, I'm so glad you had a nice Thanksgiving! Lynn, turkey soup sounds so good! Joyce, when we were shopping today at Home Depot and Lowe's, we were really wishing we could go to a Sears and just get a Kenmore. We ended up with a GE at Lowe's and they'll deliver it tomorrow. We also added on a 5-year warranty.
We also stopped at CVS for an RX and at the little market. The traffic wasn't bad and the stores were not crowded. I wonder if everyone is shopping online this year.
