DH has done the impossible (for him) and has fasted and is on his way to get blood work. He's been terrified about the fasting part for weeks.  He's going to do some errands while he's out, so I'll have the house to myself for a while.

Good evening everyone!

Thanks for thinking of me today. The consult appointment turned out to be more involved than I had expected. She wants to do an extensive colposcopy with biopsies under general anesthesia. So that is now scheduled for January 10. Since it's coming up in about a month, she had me go ahead and get all the pre-testing today -- blood tests, EKG, chest X-rays, etc. Which while not a big deal are still very time consuming so I was at the clinic much longer than I had anticipated. I will be glad to get this procedure behind me, and hopefully then she will have a much better picture of exactly what is going on. Fingers tightly crossed that it is nothing to be overly concerned about, but I've been getting back bad PAPs for a long time now and she just has not been able to get a clear enough look at what is going on. The general anesthesia will allow her to do that. As for me, I want to know one way or the other. If it is cancer or likely becoming cancer then I want to be pro-active. If it's not likely to ever become cancer then it will be nice to be able to breath a little easier and feel more secure. I'm expecting the best, but will be glad to have some answers one way or the other.
