Good morning friends and happy Sunday!
I think our rain is finally stopping but I'm not sure the sun will come out.
Nothing planned so far for today. I've done my yoga and paid the tax bill. I have some folded laundry to put away. Made a manicure appointment for Jan 3 - haven't had one for quite a while.

Good morning! We are heading back to RI later today. The east coast rain has hit us in New England. It will be a wet drive back. I have a few things to do around the house before we leave. Laundry, put dishes away. we aren’t planning on coming up again until after Christmas. maryenne , my regular manicure appointment is such a treat to me. I look at my hands and it’s a reminder that I do take care of myself. Waving to Esther and Joyce. Sending wishes for a peaceful day. Lynn |

Maryenne, glad the rain has passed on by you, but sorry it's headed to Lynn and Esther. I thought about you watching news reports and wondered if you might have any flooding. Glad all is well.
Lynn, so very glad you had such a nice birthday celebration! The earrings from your DH sound lovely, and what a sweet gesture that was which I know makes them extra special to you. Wishing you safe travels back home in the rain.
Esther, what about you? Is this storm causing any problems in your area?
I thought the sun was going to shine here today earlier, but now it's back to looking gloomy out. At least it is dry, and has been a warm December for the most part. I have chicken tortilla soup on cooking which will be our meal both today and tomorrow. Not sure if I will post tomorrow or not, as I have volunteered to help with the Christmas party in the morning for the local public early childhood pre-kindergarten school as part of a service project with my Woman's Club. We'll be reading Christmas books in the classrooms, helping serve cookies and punch, etc. That should certainly get me in the Christmas spirit! 🎄🎅 Enjoy your day!

Hello friends
I am having a very strange day today.
We had a study group this morning on bible teachings of a just war. It all seems brutal to me. I will need to keep studying.
This afternoon I went out to do errands and when I got home Ruby had fallen and couldn’t get up. My vet’s office is closed until Tuesday. I need to find an emergency vet before then.
She got up after a while and staggered into her bed in the other room. I’m not sure what to do with her. Leave her there overnight or drag her into the car and take her to the hospital. I will call the hospital and see what they suggest. Poor Ruby. I was afraid her legs would give out.
