Good morning! I think today is maryenne’s long tutoring day. We have a meeting this afternoon at AAA to arrange our trip to see DH’s sister. I have paid a couple of bills, planned meals for the next few days and will put the finishing touches on the black bean soup I started yesterday. That is it for my day. I went to the grocery store yesterday. I have no intention of going back until after the expected snow storm is gone. Waving to Joyce and Esther. Sending wishes for a peaceful day. Lynn |

Lynn, if your grocery stores are anything like ours when snow is predicted (much less a snow storm!) you are wise to stay away unless absolutely necessary. Good luck in planning your trip to visit DH's sister. That will be fun.
Maryenne, hope your tutoring is going well today.
Esther, have you had any word back yet from the nursing home about Don's funding? I hope everyone in your family is still well and not testing positive for Covid.
It's cold and gloomy here, but that's nothing new for January. It might not feel as cold to those of you in the northeast as it does to me. Yesterday the handyman installed our new doorbell camera and also my new faucet and soap dispenser. The faucet looks really good so I hope I will like it. DH wants to get out of the house for lunch, so we will do that. We tend to get into a boring routine here especially in the winter months.

It was a long day! After I finished the afternoon class, I went to CVS and got my Covid, RSV, and flu shots. Then I went through Starbucks and treated myself to a Chai Latte. It's supposed to be stormy here tonight.
Lynn, where are you going to be in Florida? When's your trip? Good idea to get your groceries before the storm. Joyce, DH installed a new sink and faucet in our kitchen about six months ago, and I just love them. I'm sure you will love yours, too. Esther, I hope you are doing well this week.
I forgot to tell you that my Wednesday-Friday student has decided to enroll in the county Adult Education ESOL program which will be Monday-Thursday every week. I'm really happy for her - I think she'll make good progress. I told her I will continue to meet with her on Friday morning if she wants. We'll see how it goes for her.
