Good morning! It's pouring rain here and they say when the rain stops, the temps will drop. There will be a hard freeze tomorrow morning, which for us means the 20s. DH will spend the afternoon bringing plants up onto the big porch, putting drop lights on the lime and orange trees, and doing whatever else he does out there.
I'm going to yoga class this morning. It's our first class of the new series - she had to cancel last week because of the storm. After class, I'll stop at the store for a couple of things and then come home and do various things, including writing postcards to voters in Long Island for the seat that George Santos had.
Last night, we watched the Bills-Steelers game in solidarity with Thomas who wears a Bills shirt every Friday to daycare. They'll play Kansas City this weekend - that's Judy's team. We're not football people at all, but it was fun.
Esther, I'm glad you were able to have your birthday celebration finally! It must have been so nice to have everyone there.
Joyce, I hope you are able to stay warm! Lynn, hope it doesn't get too cold over there but just remember it's a lot colder at home!

Good morning! It is raining here in Jacksonville, but it is much warmer than New England! We are not going to St. Augustine, they will be having thunderstorms today. Next time. I don’t know what we are going to do here today, but it will be fine. It is supposed to get really cold tomorrow, but not as cold as New England. Tomorrow is our last full day here. DH is making burgers for us, including DH’s nephew and his wife. This has been a great visit, so glad we came. Esther, glad you were able to finally celebrate with your family. maryenne , good luck with the plants. Are you going to watch the football game next week? I bet Thomas’s family will be watching! How cute that he wears his Bills jersey every Friday! Joyce, sending warm thoughts to you! Sending warm sides for a peaceful day to all. Lynn

Good afternoon!
Maryenne, I also hope you won't lose any of your plants. That's a concern for us here as well. Love that Thomas wears his Bills jersey to daycare every Friday. Go Bills!! I'm not a football person either, really not a sports person at all, but like you I am always for the team favored by my grandchildren.
Lynn, it's wonderful that you are having such a good visit even if the weather has not been very cooperative. As you say, at least it's warmer than New England, and it's always fun to be visiting family and friends.
Esther, so glad you got to have the birthday celebration and that it was enjoyed by everyone. Sorry about the cellar door issue, and hope that won't be too much of an inconvenience.
It's a beautifully sunny day here as I look out my window with everything covered in white. It's cold though! At 9 o'clock this morning it was only 8 degrees, and right now it's 16 so that snow is not going anywhere anytime soon. Here in my area of the country we are just not prepared for this. We have probably 5 to 6 or 7 inches of snow, which probably doesn't sound like much to those of you from the northeast, but for us this is major. Most everything is closed. DH was supposed to have a doctor's appointment this morning, but the answering service called yesterday to cancel it. They said for us to call the office back next week to reschedule because they don't anticipate being open at all this week. The city put out a notice that all "non-essential" services are closed. I don't know what constitutes essential services, but I assume it's the fire and police departments. DH is supposed to have dental surgery on Friday morning, so I'm not sure if that will actually take place or not. Also I had planned to go with Sherry (my daughter) and Sarah Grace (DGD) to a cheer competition in Tupelo, MS Saturday afternoon and evening. It remains to be seen what will happen with that too. I just got a weather notification saying that 1-2 more inches of snow are expected on Thursday. Fingers crossed they are wrong about that!
Enjoy your day and stay safe and warm!
