Good morning friends,

My plane leaves at noon, so we'll leave home around 10:30. It's a small airport. So far I don't anticipate delays, but I've decided I can deal with whatever might come up. I'll get into Buffalo around 6 and James will pick me up after work.

Joyce, good luck to DH with his oral surgery. Drive carefully!

Lynn, I'm sorry you didn't get to St. Augustine, but maybe next time.

Late yesterday afternoon Nick's oral surgery was rescheduled for Monday, and I was glad. The streets are a solid sheet of ice here--worse than ever as there was some thawing which froze back over plus we got some freezing rain yesterday. We did get out yesterday so I could practice driving on it with Nick's 4 wheel drive as we thought I was going to have to be driving him this morning. I did fine, but I was definitely not comfortable. Saw several cars off the road and struggling. Hopefully the streets will improve before Monday. Fingers crossed for that! Today we have high winds making for strong wind chill. So we continue to hibernate. All city services and schools remain closed as well as a lot of businesses.

I was asked to help out with a grab ‘n go lunch at the senior center yesterday. It was so cold and icy to walk on. I was glad to get home. My house is not very warm. I have some of the rooms closed off.

I will be leaving for San Diego at the end of next week.
