Good morning! Joey (the cat) and I are up early-ish. We have played with his new cat tunnel- hiding treats in it. I have had a cup of coffee and heading out to get a second one soon. DH will sleep in for a bit. Meanwhile I’ll watch Say Yes to the Dress- love the drama- LOL! I made a bean soup yesterday, that will be lunch. Super Bowl party at the pub tonight- no cooking for me today! Safe travels today maryenne. I hope you enjoyed your time on Jekyll Island. Joyce, you have a busy travel year coming up. Both trips sound so wonderful. How long will you be in Serbia? Esther, do you have any music events coming up? a peaceful day. Lynn |

Good morning!
We had a great time yesterday. We rented a golf cart and used it to explore the island. This morning we're going brunch at the fancy Jekyll Island Club. Then we'll head back home.

Maryenne, the girls' weekend sounds like it's lots of fun. So glad you are getting away with friends!

There's nothing much to report here. We've had two days of continuous rain and all last night as well. It seems to have stopped now, and I have my fingers crossed as the forecast says 90% chance of more rain today. We're not football fans here. Not having grown up here, Nick never really got interested in the game. If it were a soccer match, that would be another story. So we won't be watching although I may turn it on long enough to hear Reba McEntire sing the national anthem. She has a lovely voice, and the anthem is beautiful when sung as it should be rather than what some of today's stars make of it.
So we really don't have any plans for the day or evening, but I hope you each enjoy whatever you do!

Hello friends
We had a get together/ rehearsal of a bunch of musicians at the synagogue today. We had 3 guitars, 2 violins, and a flute, a clarinet and a baritone horn. Some people also sang. It is not traditional to have musical instruments on the sabbath, but the rabbi is determined to start this band. It was a nice mix of instruments . I don’t know what will develop out of this project. I have decided that I am willing to play, but not be the leader.
Our contra dance band is getting ready for the New England Folk Festival in April. We are playing for the opening dance on the first night.
I spent a lot of time trying to install TurboTax with no success. They have changed the program to require an account and mine is trying to use an old flip phone that I have not had for eight years. It is trying to text verification codes to it. I also don’t have my id and password. I’m not sure how to solve this problem. I usually do the taxes for DD and DGS as well as my own. I am debating buying the H &R Block software and starting over with them. I did come across a phone number for support which I will try tomorrow morning.
