Good morning!
Got home from Jekyll Island about dark and proceeded to watch the Super Bowl. WHY??? We have never watched a football game! But it was fun...DH had made cookies and we did our best to follow along. Even during the half-time, we were like two old befuddled people completely out of our element. But we did stay up til the thrilling end.
Nothing for me today except my laundry from the weekend. We're under a tornado watch and there will be storms.
Happy Monday!

Good morning! We had a nice time at the Super Bowl party and won a couple of items at the half-time raffle. The money went to our local children’s hospital. When DD was a baby she was a patient there. Last year DGD was a patient there. We are getting ready for a Nor’easter tomorrow. DH went to the grocery store to get a few items we needed anyway. Hope the bread and milk shoppers aren’t there yet! I have never understood the rush to the store to stock up before a storm. Maybe it’s a leftover from the Blizzard of 78, when we were broadsided by a “little snow” prediction that ended up shutting down the state for a week. Today I will do some housework, the kitchen needs a good cleaning and there is the perpetual dusting, vacuuming, etc. I hope you had a nice weekend with your friends maryenne , girls trips are fun. Waving to Joyce and Esther. Have a peaceful day. Lynn

Good morning! Maryenne, so glad you had such a good weekend, and that you enjoyed watching the Super Bowl. Sometimes it's a lot of fun to do things we wouldn't normally do. Hope you don't have any serious storms. Waving to Esther and Lynn! The only thing about the Super Bowl we watched here was Reba singing the national anthem, and as expected she did not disappoint. At my daughter's house, of course, they were watching. My grandson who is a football fan was for the 49ers, so of course, he was disappointed. My granddaughter who is a Taylor Swift fan was of course for the Chiefs. My DD and DSIL I think were for the Chiefs as well, so theirs was a "house divided". Today the sun is trying to peek through, but not being very successful. Fingers crossed that it won't rain again. We've had enough of that for awhile. I have an acorn squash in baking and a load of laundry going. That will pretty much be it for my excitement today. Enjoy your day!
