What’s on your mind — how to make kugel? This week’s Torah reading? Life goals? Prayer? We are all engaged in weight loss/weight maintenance journeys and we are all Jewish or at least interested in Judaism. We like to eat, we like to discuss. It is our goal here to provide each other support on our journeys, to share experiences, to call on our rich cultural heritage and texts, and to help each other grow spiritually.
Some of us take weekly turns starting the thread:

Happy Valentine’s Day,
Important question no. 1: if you were to receive a box of assorted chocolates, what would your favorite one be? Important question no. 2: if you could design your own candy hearts, the tiny ones with two words on each (“be mine”, “hi cutie”, for example), what would your hearts say?
My answers: 1. I’m partial to chocolate covered cherries 2. My heart would say : “Stay strong.”

Ooh, I love chocolate-covered cherries! When I was a teenager, that was a popular gift among teens, because they were beloved and inexpensive. But my favorite is the See's Candy Scotch-mallow, which is caramel on the bottom, marshmallow on the top, the whole thing covered in dark chocolate. Mmm!
My heart would say, "Love you more!"

Good morning everybody. Hope you are all well and SAFE! Please pray for Israel.
Happy Valentines Day!
Re today's topic: I love dark chocolate, but haven't received a box of mixed filled chocolates for ages. When we buy chocolate, it tends to be bars. Do I have a favorite? Right now, I could go for raspberry jelly covered in dark chocolate, but practically any good chocolate would do fine (yum!).
As for picking a motto, I think I would copy Penzeys Spices, and pick "Choose Love." I have a sticker of theirs up on the fridge.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day and celebrates love in some way.
Have a peaceful day, Lee

Hands down, dark chocolate covering over caramel with or without almonds.
Will spend more time thinking about the words for the candy hearts...
Woke up before 3am and haven't slept since (it's almost 5:30 now; I usually get up around 5ish). I anticipate being tired later today. Luckily, I cleared my day (other that tutoring one boy when he gets home from school at 3:45), so I can nap in the middle of the day. (Unfortunately, 3ish is when I generally feel the most tired, but because of my student, I dare not lie down at 3 today...)

I actually like milk chocolate as in plain Hersheys kisses. But my classir (perhaps) fave woud be dark chocolate with vanilla or raspberry inside. I will admist to dark choc covered marshmallow or nougat too.
Feeling a little dreamy, but would love to have someone give me a heart that says "You're perfect" (if we write small can we include "just the way you are"?
