What’s on your mind — how to make kugel? This week’s Torah reading? Life goals? Prayer? We are all engaged in weight loss/weight maintenance journeys and we are all Jewish or at least interested in Judaism. We like to eat, we like to discuss. It is our goal here to provide each other support on our journeys, to share experiences, to call on our rich cultural heritage and texts, and to help each other grow spiritually.
Some of us take weekly turns starting the thread:

Hi everyone, Tuesday is March 12, which I think qualifies as “early spring.” What signs of spring are you seeing in your hometowns right now?
On NOLA, the first sign of spring is the annual blossoming of the azalea bushes all over the city. These blossoms are usually a gorgeous hot pink, it they can also be light pink and white. When I went outside this morning, these bushes were in full flower!
Any signs of spring in your neighborhoods?

Just yesterday, I commented to someone that with the sunny weather (Saturday and Sunday were lovely, BTW), is it a sign that spring is coming?
There one set of trees between my house and the exit from the complex in which I live that started blossoming. I don't know the name of the trees, but all of them in this one section (very close to the entrance to the complex) are beautiful! Little flowers (that will fall to the ground) all over the place! I consider it a sign of the coming of spring. (YAY!!!) I'm still wearing a long-sleeved something over a t-shirt (and a jacket) because I leave the house early in the morning (and earlier today than usual) it's still cold from overnight lows...

I haven't noticed any signs of spring yet. Last week, we got pelted with rain and hail, and the idea of spring hasn't even occurred to me!

I haven't done much walking around at home yet There are tight buds on the magnolia tree I can see from my kitchen window - glory yet to come. In London the magnolia trees were much further along, the flowers were just beginning to open. Daffodils were out there too. Soon!

Good morning everybody. Hope you are all well and SAFE! Please pray for Israel.
Re today's topic: My neighborhood is full of daffodils, forsythia, budding trees, and stalks of irises and other plants. There are even some early cherry blossoms! I love Spring!!
