Happy Friday ladies!!! So glad we made it. Yesterday after work, thankfully James was running early enough to get Cody from driving school and so I prepped dinner before heading to the Y. My class was good although small, lots of energy. The rest of the evening was nice and chill.
Today I am WFH and both boys are working tonight so I think James & I will go out to dinner. Overnight & much of tomorrow we are expecting rain (I think Susi & Allison are, too). I have plans tomorrow with my aunt Kim to go to a Food & Wine expo and I'm really looking fwd to that! If we drive ourselves, the plan is to do some shopping after. I do need to find a dress for an upcoming event and also would take it on our Mexico trip in June. The event has food, wine, liquor, beer & cider, plus vendors. Should be fun! I love stuff like that.
No plans yet for Sunday although there is a Jeep I'd like to go see if timing works out. Hopefully also I'll get to the gym on Sunday afternoon.
Hope you all have a good weekend!
B: leaning towards a protein shake w/ banana & PB L: LO Indian - rice, chicken, spinach, 1/2 naan D: TBD for now Exercise: depends on the dinner plan but hopefully tone & stretch if nothing else

Happy Friday! We made it. I've been wanting to get this last full week out of the way so badly! Monday and Tuesday will still be a little crazy but 2 days will be much more manageable, and I'm done most of the pre-trip work prep I need to do as far as getting files situated. Today looks pretty quiet thankfully! I went to my friends' house last night to make dinner and hung out there for awhile and had some beers and watched TV, so at least the lack of stove is a good excuse for socializing! Having friends so close by helps too. My sister is even closer and she offered to put their dog in his cage if I wanted to cook there but that's a lot more hassle for them between the dog and Tristan running around, and their kitchen is smaller too. I prepped stuff for a crockpot meal to make on Sunday and that should be more than enough cooking to get us through until we leave, and probably have some leftovers we can freeze. We got the new stove glass ordered yesterday and can schedule the installation once it's in and we're back, so will probably schedule that towards the end of the trip so we they can hopefully come right after we get back. The plumbing issue appears to be a bigger annoyance. At first the guy thought it was something small and easy, a gasket in the toilet, but it looks like it's a crack in a pipe right under the toilet that is harder to get to because it's situated right above a beam. We've had this guy do some other work for us and he's always been great and quick and reasonable so I totally trust him on this. He's going to get back to us with an estimate but seems like it could be a 2 day job so I'm guessing it will be a bit more involved. We can't use the 2nd floor bathroom in the meantime which isn't the end of the world since we have the master bath and a powder room downstairs, but hopefully can get that scheduled shortly after we get back. Always something! Should be a fairly quiet weekend. We're going out to dinner tomorrow night at the Italian BYOB around the corner, good excuse to use a gift card and not have to cook, and we have a bunch of wine leftover from recent get-togethers. I think earlier in the day tomorrow I'm going to meet up with my friend and my sister for gelato or water ice or something, they're going to a drag queen story time nearby so I'll probably walk over to meet them after. No plans tonight. Giving blood on Sunday but no plans that day either other than meeting a friend for coffee at some point. Need to finish packing too. A: kickboxing B: Jimmy Dean turkey sausage breakfast sandwich S: banana with peanut butter L: leftover crock pot enchilada quinoa S: cheese and crackers D: TBD.. takeout or leftovers Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I was so sure today was Saturday, I hit the snooze. Got up and prepped the feral food and drove down to the marsh. I was so surprised to see Gracie run the wrong way across the street and then Carol stepped out of "the hole". And then it hit me. She said she was going to check on me when she got back since it was so unlike me. Got in a nice walk with Lily and have been texting with a couple of friends and my financial advisor about my retirement plans. I will be getting lunch for Marge and Amby and visit with them for a while. The skin around the incision is a little tight today but they don't want me to use any cream or lotion yet. Tomorrow will be all indoor stuff and whatever advanced prep I can do for next Saturday. Sunday, Carol wants to go to our favorite diner for a late breakfast on Sunday for her birthday which is actually Monday. My baby sister is turning 65!!!!
S - Usual coffee B - BLT w/cheese L - Likely part of whatever sandwiches I pick up D - Steak Caesar salad with Texas toast croutons
