Good morning!
Wow, I have felt lousy this week, but I think those antibiotics are finally kicking in. I have online yoga at 9:30 and nothing else planned for today.
I don't know if I told you that my rheumatology office in Thomasville closed. My PCP gave me a couple of names to pick from and then they sent a referral. Finally yesterday that office called me to set up an appointment on May 1. I'll be past due on my Prolia injection, but they assured me that's okay. The good news is that I won't have to drive to Thomasville every three months, although I will miss the great care I received there.
Looks like it will be a sunny day today. I hope you all have a good day!

Good morning! maryenne , I hope you are happy with your new rheumatologist. It’s hard to switch providers, especially when it’s someone you see often. That is a fairly quick appointment for a specialist! Glad the antibiotics are kicking in. I also have nothing on my plate today except for a couple of little projects around the house. But DH woke upo in the middle of the night with a tick bite, we think the tick is out of the skin but will keep an eye on it. Lyme Disease is rampant in the Northeast and his father passed away from complications of Lyme, so he is super cautious about this. Sending wishes for a peaceful day. Lynn

Good morning everyone!
Maryenne, glad the antibiotics are starting to work, and I also hope you will be pleased with the new rheumatologist. It's very hard to switch doctors when we find one we like. We've recently had to switch our PCP provider as our old one retired, and the adjustment is not easy. Also the hospital has closed my pain clinic there where I get my injections when needed, so while they have given me a list of possible referrals I dread having to find a new one.
Lynn, fingers crossed that your DH will not have any complications for the tick bite!
Esther, hope you are having a good week.
My knee is a lot better today, so I am definitely planning to go on our trip. We fly out to San Diego a week from today. My knee is very stiff, but the severe pain has stopped. What a blessing! I'll stay inside and continue to ice my knee today, but then tomorrow I need to get out and get a haircut and also bake some baked beans to take to DD's tomorrow night. DGS's 16th birthday is the 2nd. His surprise family celebration is tomorrow night. All three sets of grandparents will be on hand. He just thinks we're all getting together for a cookout to celebrate Easter weekend. But in reality he is getting a car, and we will all be there for that. It's a used car his mom and dad bought for him from a friend. Today they are having it detailed, and will keep it hidden at the neighbor's. During the cookout his dad will drive it up into the driveway for him. He is going to be beyond thrilled, and we are all so happy for him but very hard to believe how time has gone by so quickly. Although he has been begging for one, he actually has no idea, so will be totally surprised. Grandparents have gone into together and gotten a nice accessory package for him with weather tech mates, etc. Our baby boy is growing up, and to be honest this grandma isn't really ready for that. I wonder if grandmas ever are?
