Hello and happy new month balancedlife, beherenow, cupcake716 and moosishun! i wish I could say that my weigh in this morning was still below that decade line but, no fooling, it’s back up & over. The usual 1 step forward and 2 steps back. My DH goes to Colorado for skiing & fishing tomorrow so I’ll have 8 days to clean up my act. I’ll definitely be tossing all of the Easter leftovers when I get home from dropping him at the airport. I’m going to Boston mid month to visit an elderly relative so I’ll be eating out every meal, but I think I’ll be able to do a lot of walking to help offset it. My goal for the month is to end the month back below that line! How is your month looking?

Happy April! Mom's birthday is this week and this weekend we are finally burying her ashes. She always joked about owning their little plot of land at the cemetery so I'm sure she will be happy there. It is a super nice place. They have a giant gazebo with benches and lots of shade trees. We are going to bring a picnic lunch and cake and celebrate her birthday while we are there. Maybe that's why I've been all out of sorts. Mom's birthday, her burial, and Mother's Day coming up. Hopefully once we get passed all that, things will be better. We are celebrating one of my nephews' birthday this coming weekend too. We are going to a hibachi restaurant. I've never been but it sounds like fun. Other than that just trying to get through my on-call week.
My plan for April is to track track track.

Lunch with retired coworkers today. Ate half and took the rest home. Stopped by the library to pickup eclipse glasses since we are in the direct path of totality on Monday. Girl Scouts were there selling cookies. I resisted. 30 minutes until quitting time. This is THEE longest day ever....
Have a good weekend everyone!

Good morning, artgirl and cupcake716. I have added a pound which didn't surprise me. But today is a nice clean Monday and I have no huge social events on my calendar for this week so hope springs eternal. I will be doing a major grocery shop today which will provide me with excellent choices for planned meals at home. I hope that you both have a very satisfying week, too!

balancedlife, thanks for the tag/reminder to check in! I remain above that stupid line, not by much, but stubbornly stuck. My DH has been in Colorado for the last week and comes home Wednesday. I’ve enjoyed my time alone and I’ve gotten a lot done. Unfortunately tomorrow is possible eye injection day so I lose a day of alone time in my opinion

cupcake716, All the first anniversaries after a death are extra tough. I like the idea of having a picnic with birthday cake at the cemetery. Then the follow up dinner for nephew's birthday was great timing. Hugs. It's been so long since I've posted that I forgot I cannot type in the little boxes on my tablet. This is brief for now. I'll update at a later time about my surgery that went really well. 🤗💗 I have a big birthday in May so I'm back on the spring bandwagon for weight loss. I started engaging with my Beck cards again last week, writing down what I eat but not tracking points or calories. Weekly WI down 1.2 lbs. I would like to lose 6 lb in 6 weeks. Hope springs eternal. 🤣😉😊

beherenow so happy you checked in! Glad you are continuing to do well after surgery. You've done well with Beck and weight loss in the past. I am sure this time will be no different. A big birthday deserves a big celebration! balancedlife hope the week turned out as good as you expected. Well, minus the grocery shopping. I used to love meal planning and shopping and all that entailed but right now I am over it. In fact, starting in June I have recruited the family to help with meal planning and cooking. artgirl I hope you were able to avoid the dreaded eye injection. That would be a great ending to a lovely week. Happy to hear you accomplished a lot while your DH was gone. I am with balancedlife I sometimes like to spend alone time just lounging. That's when I catch up on my reality TV addiction. But if I had your awesome library seat I would stretch out there and read a good book. Mom's burial went well. Glad she is at her forever resting place finally. I loved the hibachi restaurant. Food was good and entertaining. Then we headed to a local bar where my boys and nephews like to hang out. We stayed out way too late so Sunday was a bust. But it was a lot of fun. I would do it again. This weekends plans are less exciting. Staying on track should be much easier. Hopefully... Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

cupcake716, What a great update! I’m glad that your Mom’s service went so nicely and that she is a nice spot for future visits I did have eye injection this week which led to a pity party which in turn has led me to a new HWE . I’m going to Boston next week to visit with an elderly aunt and am bummed that I’m at this weight with the limited wardrobe that goes with that, but oh well, it’s my own fault. I need to come up with a way of avoiding the pity party because I’m on track for another injection in May. I continue to believe that if I lost 10 - 15 pounds that the eye situation would improve. One would think that this would be motivation enough, right? Oh well, happy weekend to all!!!

Monday Monday...
I was hoping to wear the dress I wore to DH's friend's wedding a few years ago to DS#2's graduation next month but sadly it doesn't fit. I went shopping this weekend and found a few options but I am not thrilled with how any of them fit. Shopping was more fun when I was 50lbs lighter. My shopping sadness helped me stay on track yesterday and today so far so I guess there is some positives to it.
Meal planning and grocery shopping are done for the week. I am not on call so I am hoping I can stick to the plan and see a loss at my next WI. I decided I am done drinking tons of water a day. I have been drinking 1/2 my weight in ounces as I read someplace that should be the target when losing weight. Needing to use the bathroom all of the time is no fun especially when I am away from home. If my body hasn't gotten used to it by now it never will. I plan to continue to make an effort to drink water on a daily basis but not worry about getting a specific amount and stopping if the number of bathroom trips start to become a problem. I know my bathroom habits are not what you had hoped to read about today so I'm sorry. lol!
I hope everyone has a good on plan week.

My weight did drop a few pounds but that was only because it was artificially high, likely from the devil condiment . I’m still above the decade line. cupcake716, even though I like water, I too can’t stand drinking gallons of it. If you can remember to drink just 8 oz before each meal, it’s an easy 24 oz on top of what you can manage otherwise. I need to remember to eat an apple in the afternoon instead of my go to snack of tzatziki & pita chips. I keep buying apples just for that reason and there they sit in the drawer under the tzatziki

balancedlife, yes, the pre-meal water does help with feeling a bit more full, even more if it’s fizzy water! I may never look at a tangerine without thinking of you now
