Well I was trending down more but had a very salty weekend so I a only down .5 this week. On the bright side my back is mostly recovered and my mobility and exertion is at about 90% of my normal so its good to be feeling better.

I did it! I'm leaving for Vegas tomorrow and hit my goal of 75 off today! My mini goals are 5 pounds at a time because that's more doable than looking at the big picture. My next bigger goal is to have 100 off by Sept for a big trip we have planned. Have a great week!

Good Morning! Woo hoo, trixiemoonpie ! 75 lbs. down is an awesome accomplishment. I had another OP week where I was trending towards a bigger loss, but on weigh-in day the loss is smaller. But I lost 1 lb. and passed the 15 lbs. lost mark. I’m happy that after 4 years of small to medium gains, I’m back on track with healthy (at least healthier) eating. I’m still focusing on my goal of consistency with meal planning and moving my body on a daily basis. I’ve never been one to enjoy a weekly meal prep and/or plan, so I just make sure I’m stocked up with healthy ingredients and take it from there on a meal by meal basis. —————— Starting: 209.6 Current: 193.8 LW Loss: -1.0 lbs. YTD Loss: -15.8 lbs.

Good morning!
Another so-so week. A few slips with the diet but stayed home (no eating out) and no alcohol even with a really difficult, stressful week at work. Lots of coffee to keep me going but still got all my water in. Only one trip to the gym and during which my new tennis shoes tore a hole in the back of my left heel, so I am trying to get that healed up. I got a lot of steps this weekend and several trips down/up stairs carrying things to our basement after moving my daughter home from her dorm.
I tried on my dress for DS's wedding over the weekend again. Looking back, I have lost 12.2 lbs since the first day I tried on the dress to today. I still love it! I am so frustrated that it is still tight in my waist and will not need any alterations in that area. (I had hoped it would need to be taken in!) I do not want to wear spanx or shapewear due to the wedding being outdoors in August (worried about the heat) but I started wondering if I should reconsider. I think I am overthinking and over-worrying. Remembering the wedding is not about me - all eyes will really be on the happy couple. I just want to feel like I look good and enjoy the day.
Thinking again how nice it is to be able to dig out a pair of shorts or capris this spring and not worry about if they will fit. So, that's a good way to remember my body has changed with the weight loss, even if I haven't lost inches where I really wanted to. I guess I could work on doing some planks and crunches to try to firm up my midsection. Always good to have a stronger core.
Scale is down 1 lb for the week! I have seen this number once before this year, but not on a Monday. I have been dancing around these couple of pounds for several weeks due to the birth control pill fiasco. Hoping this means all that estrogen is out of my system and I can make some progress. Would really like to be at 165 or less by my dress fitting on May 17th.
Meal plan made and groceries purchased, so ready for the week Now not to sabotage myself with extra nibbles.
Starting weight 1/1/24: 176.0 Current weight 4/22/24: 168.0 Loss last week: -1.0 YTD: -9.0

Way to go, @trixiemoonpue!! That's quite an accomplishment. Enjoy your Vegas trip. mimzy08 I always vote NO on shapewear. I'd rather be comfortable and enjoy the day than feel squashed and hot. I've done much better at tuning in to my hunger cues and am down 0.9 for the week. Only 1/2 lb above my maintenance range now. CW: 139.5 Maintenance range: 135-139

Is anyone familiar with Schrodinger's Cat, as referenced on Big Bang Theory? The theory is that essentially something can be in two states at once until it's observed; in Schrodinger's example a cat in a box with a mechanism that might kill it. Until you look inside, the cat is both alive and dead at the same time.
For the past month, the dress I purchased for the May wedding has been hanging on the back of the bedroom door, not yet tried on. I started to call it Schrodinger's Dress, because as long as it hung there it both fit and did not fit at the same time. I was just afraid to try it on and find out the truth.
Push came to shove and I finally tried it on last week - and it fit like a glove. I am absolutely delighted! It is at the tailor right now because it does need taking up at the hem a bit. I do not want to wear high heels to this event.

Hi all, Borrowing my Aunt's scale, I'm up 2.0 for the week. It may be true because my diet has been a salty mess this week with meals that are not in my control (yet delicious and satisfying ). I'll weigh in again later this week at home and figure out how to fix it if +2 is real. Have a good week everyone.
