Good morning! We have a cloudy start to our day. I think they say rain the next 3 days. Not sure. I haven't seen the tv for a few days. I got up and started a load of laundry before my 9:30am hair appointment. Then I'm meeting our old kitchen bingo crew for lunch at a new restaurant in a nearby town. Amy needs me to get the kids from school today. And then I have the exercise class at 5. I didn't go at all last week because of the storms both days in our area. And I'll miss Thursday because we have the stone contractor coming. I have to take what they give me as far as meeting times. Its so hard to pin these guys down! Im hoping this afternoon our contractors that will be doing the framing will make it by. They said it depended on weather.
Joe and I had a nice drive to Kentucky yesterday. It is right at 3-1/2 hours to Pattis Settlement, where we met for lunch, from our house. It was so good to see Karen and Doug and Barb and Robin and Peggy. We had a nice visit for about 3 hours. Then we headed home. Joe is fishing next week in Southern Illinois, so he wanted to stop and check the lake out on the way back. So, that worked out well. It was a long day in the car but so worth it. Really nice to see those girls!
I hope you all have a great Tuesday!
Sue: Good luck! I hope the AC guy got you all taken care of yesterday.
Lauren: Praying for you every day and sending so much love your way! Extra prayers that tomorrow's treatment and those that follow go well. You have a whole army of prayer warriors behind you!
Barb: Safe travels home to you and Robin today!
Karen and Peggy: Enjoy your day together!

Good morning, all.
Wish I had known about some of y’all meeting up in KY. I would have driven down! But Janet says Barb and Robin may make this a yearly trip. So be sure to include me even if I haven’t checked in here for a while.
Lauren, my friend, I’m glad the first day of Passover was good to you and you’re finally home. I can’t imagine what all you’ve been through these last few weeks/months. What a blessing it is to have Allie there with you. I’m sure it’s a blessing to Bruce, as well. I will continue my prayers for the next stage of your healing process. I pray that your body responds well, that the doctors make good decisions regarding your care, that all of you remain strong emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Love you.
I leave tomorrow for Texas to care for the boys while Mom and Dad take a much needed break in Cancun. A friend from church is driving with me, sharing driving, gas, and hotel. I am so looking forward to company on that long drive. She’s going to stay with her sister. My biggest concern is getting the boys to their respective baseball games and practices. Alex and Irene have been balancing that act for weeks and are both exhausted! What I have going for me is not having to work as well. I’m planning crockpot meals to be ready before going to 7 o’clock games. They apparently have been having dinner when the get home then trying to getthe boys tobed at a decent hour!
We’re driving down in my car. I had NOT planned on the RV for this trip and it’s a lucky thing. I went to start it up a couple weeks ago and had fuel seeping up into the cab! After an ordeal of getting the fire department to come check it out before the tow truck would come, I got it to the Chevy dealership (it has a Chevy chassis) only to find out it’s not a warranty problem, but rodents have chewed the fuel line, and other tubes and wires. All to the tune of over $2000! Plus the tow. Now they tell me to spray the engine with peppermint oil! That should be at the top of new owner lists! GEEZ!
I’m still contemplating driving the RV to AZ for our reunion. I’ll be incorporating a much longer trip at that time.
Time to head to the gym.
God bless you all.

Good morning, everyone
Another warm start to our day - a bit cooler though, the high only getting to 88. It's beautiful right now just as the sun is rising.
We have the new AC unit and cool air again. The company we hired is just a guy and his adult son. Both are nice, they even vacuumed the hall and back entry where the inside part of the AC unit is. The son does all the under the house crawling work! He said our home had one of the cleanest crawlspaces, and that the house was installed really well, with cement footings for the support posts. I imagine he's seen it all here. And our cats are keeping the critters away - just the smell of them there is enough - I guess! They're not the best hunters, definitely not killers, but players with any critters they find - just live toys they've found. We called them on Saturday, and by Monday a new unit is installed. Glad we did it early in the season and not in August!
Work was good - I touched base with all the School golf teams that have accounts at the course. I send them their statements - all by email now, and I do them individually. That task is done for April - this is the busy time of year for school team golf. I'm sure Janet knows all about that! I've knows some of these coaches for years, so it's nice to catch up with them.
I'm going to run, get dressed and go water the vegi's. My pepper plants are growing, and there are signs of flower buds on them. The tomatoes also have lots of flowers - the eggplant and zucchini - both of those are struggling. Maybe they'll be late bloomers!
Have a good day everyone
Sue

Good morning. The saga of the car is ongoing. They now say it needs complete engine replacement and submitted that to the warranty company. I’m not sure if I told you that before or not. The warranty company will cover it, but only to the cost of the vehicle. The dealership put the unnecessary replacement of the fuel pump on the same ticket in order to recoup as much of their costs on that misdiagnosis as they can. The problem with that is it raises the cost of this repair ticket and results in our raising our portion and essentially having us pay for a fuel pump replacement that should not have happened. Also the price they are charging us for the long block is exorbitant, so Greg called the local dealership to ask what the retail price is and it’s significantly less than what we were quoted. Along with that, they are planning on replacing several things that do not need replacing. The radiator? It wasn’t leaking when we took it to them. The parts that Greg replaced just before we left? There’s nothing wrong with those parts. There are other things, but I won’t bore you with all of that. We have checked the cost of having the car transported to So. Cal. We don’t want to do that, of course. We’ve written an email to the dealership stating all of this and copied the warranty company. We need them to come down in their quote and take the fuel pump off of our portion of the costs. Hopefully they will do that to our satisfaction, because it would be a hassle to have it brought back here. As you can imagine, I’m hating all of this. It wreaks havoc with my OCD along with everything else. We’re looking at possibly not getting to take the trip to Spain with Justin and family in June.
On a better note, we’re very much enjoying this time with Greer. He’s such a happy kid and mostly easy going. His eating is still frustrating, but we’re dealing with, and he can be very stubborn, but he’s two. As far as two years olds go, he’s about as easy as can be. He doesn’t seem to be getting homesick at all and has been sleeping great with no fuss at all. Maybe some time he’ll even eat a meal we prepare. lol
I hope everyone is having a good day.
Annie
