Welcome to Café Eclectic! The Café is a place to come and share good times and bad times. We are a group of women and have been together since 2002. The Café is open to everybody. Newcomers are always welcome - just jump in and post. Some people are regulars and visit daily, some pop in now and then, some stay to chat, some just listen. All are welcome. Post a personal message if you can. If you can't, that's okay too. You will find lots of support and encouragement here, and hopefully you will enjoy this thread as much as the rest of us.

Good morning. I've been up and taken Owen and Kate to school this morning and walked the dog. Just came home for a bit of breakfast and Joe and I need to pick my uncle up at 9am to take him to St Louis to the airport. His daughter will pick him up and they will head this way. She's moving back here with him and his step daughter. They say for a couple of years. I'm not sure how that will work. It is a tiny house and my uncle has purchased a sofa bed for her to sleep on. Her husband died I think maybe 5 years ago and she's stayed with each of her 3 children back and forth since. I think she's exhausted all her options in AZ. Her last home with her son ended in him bankrupting them with a gambling problem and getting divorced. They've been living with one of her friends (renting 2 bedrooms in the house) but hopefully this will be a better situation for her. I hope it works out ok.
My Aunt Marie fell and broke her hip and had to have surgery to have a pin put in on Monday. i'd like to stop and see her on our way back home. And I'm thinking maybe Joe and I can stop and check out this window and garage door company that is in the area for the new house. We'll see.
Our contractors did stop by yesterday afternoon and looked over our bids and all. They say I'm in good shape. We are planning for concrete to be poured sometime in August, depending upon weather, of course.
Mom isn't doing well at all. She barely moved from the couch yesterday. She has a terrible sinus infection that is making her so nauseous. She started an antibiotic on Saturday. I'm really hoping it kicks in soon. She had lots more drainage yesterday, so maybe it is breaking that up. She has such a time.
Annie: I hope Greer eats better for you. How long do you have him?
Sue: Good to see you posting yesterday. Safe travels to you to Texas. Enjoy those boys!
AZSue: Yay for getting that AC in so quickly! Nice that the company was so neat in their work.
Peggy: Safe travels home to you today.
Karen: You'll have a quiet house again today.
Lauren: Saying extra prayers as you begin your treatment today. Love you lots!
Barb: Did you get home without any issues last night?

Good afternoon,
Lovely warm spring day here with light wind today.
Peggy left at about ten. I feel so blessed to have had her and Barb and Robin in my home. I told them the anticipation was like getting things ready for the Grands to visit. Robin did play pool with Doug some and they talked and talked while the girls talked and talked. Our time with Janet and Joe was so very good too. We missed all of you but you were with us in spirit.
Doug is setting out flowers in the mulch beds today. We have our bus route tonight.
Doug is going to Nashville tomorrow, Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday of next week to help Wes finish up some touching up to the house they are selling. I am going to stay here and catch up a few chores. I may go to the church tomorrow to do the bank statements.
Lauren sending you lots of love and prayers today.
That is about all I can think of today.
Annie so glad Greer is happy and not missing mom and dad.
Janet prayers for your mom and aunt. Exciting to hear the house will soon begin. Time flies. It will soon be August.
Maggie do you have any plans for your Birthday?
I need to get busy.
Have a Blessed Day, Count your Blessings, Karen

Good morning, everyone
It's cooling down here - It only got to the low 80's yesterday - today will be even cooler in the mid 70's. And there's even a small chance of rain tomorrow - I'll believe that when I see it!
I had an OK day. Stayed sort of busy with work - I did take a lot of breaks! I have a few projects - I do need to follow up with the Accountant that handles Scottsdale - I'm not impressed with this guy and he's always so slow to get back to me. I'll see if I can figure out the issue between our clubs - then he won't have to! And I still need to file the sales tax return - I'll get that done this week too.
Bla, bla, bla......
We did go to Bingo on Tuesday night - I didn't win this time, but I still have most of the $$ I won when we went 6 weeks ago.
It's pretty quiet here - nice to see the pictures from you all - glad you shared them. Thank you.
I'm going to run - have a good day everyone
Sue
