HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAGGIE!!!
Good Morning all,
We are having a pop up easy Spring Thunder shower right now. No lightening just thunder and a nice easy steady hard rain.Sounds really nice.
Doug just left to go back to Nashville to help Wes. He will start home about three again today.
Melissa and Addy and another mother and her daughter all friends are headed to Indianapolis for a soccer tournament this week end. They will return late Sunday. Wes is here to take Luke to his soccer game this week end. Wes invited us down to go to the game but Doug needs to study for the lesson he is teaching on Sunday.
Doug has tasked me with going to the nursery today to purchase our tomato, pepper, cucumber and jalenpeno pepper plants for the garden. I also need Zenia seeds to plant in the remainder of the garden. I need more potting soil too so will stop by Wal Mart for that. I have one more pot to plant I have the pot but need to add soil to the pot so will get the soil today to finish that up. We will try to get the garden plants out tomorrow.
Jan is coming by after school today for a visit. We have not talked or seen each other much since Easter. I want to have a snack for her to eat. I am baking bread today so am going to time it to come out of the oven as she arrives and serve that with a veggie tray. I am looiking forward to this visit.
I washed my linens yesterday so will make those beds today and be ready for complany again.
Doug had a good day with Wes. They have not spent much time together lately. They work well together..
I went to the church and almost got the bank statements caught up. I will finish up Wednesday night We talked about the baby shower we are giving but didn't get alot done. Will work on it more next week. Janice and I had a nice visit.
Ddoug said I might pick a cup of strawberries today. He said several were turning yesterday. I need to pick up the ingredients and jar lids to make my jam in the next week or so.
Annie so glad Greer is happy with you. I know you have enjoyed this time with him. Glad the car issue is being resolved.
Maggie sounds like a nice Birthday is planned. I hope you have a wonderful day.
Barb wish Robin a Happy Birthday from us too.
Janet hope your mom feels better today.
Peggy this week end looks like great travel weather for you.
Lauren sending you love and hugs.
I need to get moving.
Have a Blessed Day, Count your Blessings, Karen

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAGGIE! Your BD plans sounds great! Good morning - I did post yesterday, but it was on Wednesday's thread! I just checked again - and this is the right date! Not much in it anyways - just a quick "hello". TGIF - This has been a good week - wrapped up some long term projects at work. I had a few more tasks for today, and then the daily and the last of my weekly ones - I will be in good shape for Monthend! I'm starting my workday earlier, so am able to quit working by 2:30 - 3PM. I really like getting going way before anyone gets in the office in SF. And I'm up anyways. Barb - I hope you and Robin take the plunge and come to AZ. Renting could be a good option - try it before fully committing. Sounds like your fishing trip was good - especially those last few days at Karen's! Annie - when you all come back to Kingman to pick up your car - I hope we can get together for a meal. I'll touch base when that day is closer! Sounds like it will be a while though. It's cooled off considerably here over the last few days. But we are ready for when that heat returns. Today we have a chance of rain and even thunderstorms this afternoon. Small chance - The plants would all like it if that happened - I'll water all the vegi's this morning, as a little extra water will do them no harm. My 3 pepper plants look good - as do the tomatoes - the eggplant and zucchini - not so good! Maybe they'll get a 2nd burst! We're taking a camping trip to the Grand Canyon in a few weeks. We'll boon-dock along a forest service road just outside the park. And we're all going - including Ruth and the Rotty. We have set up one of the 2 extra bunk beds for Ruth - she can easily get in it and say's she's fine sleeping there. It will be a short trip - only 4 nights - sort of a test run for us all. My biggest decision is the kitten - does she come or not. She's only 10 weeks old - pretty little to be alone (with the other cats). And we're asking a neighbor to come check on them - if they haven't left for Michigan yet - where they spend their summer. They have a grandkid that's graduating from HS there and will be there for that occasion. I think they're leaving close to when we are gone, so that may not work out. And having the kitten and the Rotty in such a small space - I see lots of leashes and carriers in our future! I have to run and get this day started - have a good day everyone Sue

Good morning from a very gloomy Illinois. We have rain through the night and just some sprinkles this morning. It is supposed to be heavier rain later this morning. I'm glad we got what we did done yesterday.
Joe went to get Brad's trailer and we loaded it and the back of Joe's truck up and got that all in mom's garage. We are blessed to have a place to store our things. I'm hoping that the painter will be here next week to repair and paint our garage ceiling so we can get that crossed off the list.
The mason was here last night. He said he will be back next week to repair a couple of places on our brick by the garage. And we have a plan for stone for the new house. Moving right along. He was supposed to be here at 5 but text that he was home early if we wanted him earlier. He was in a hurry to get grass cut before the rain so he didn't hang around long. He's usually a talker!
Gary left at 10 minutes till 5. I hurried and changed clothes and made it to the exercise class. I could barely move from lifting furniture but thought the stretching might be good for me, so I went. I really need to work on my abs. I have no muscle or ab strength. The were doing situps and I just couldn't do them. It actually really hurt my back so I just quit. Hopefully over time I'll get stronger.
I made salads and frozen pizza and called that dinner. I got my shower and was done for the night. Well I did a load of laundry but that's it.
Today I'll be resting some. I'm really tired. I'm going to make a batch of spaghetti and get that frozen for Joe's fishing trip. Each guy is responsible for one meal (4 guys gone 4 nights) next week. He wanted spaghetti. Easy enough with salad and garlic toast.
My uncle and cousin made it as far as Texas yesterday. They are hoping to get to Joplin, Mo tonight and get back here tomorrow sometime.
I took soup to mom yesterday and heated it and she was eating it when I left. She just looks so frail. She messaged me last night that she felt better and was able to get her shower. So that was finally some positive news. Maybe she's finally turning the corner.
My aunt got moved to rehab yesterday. It is a very good facility so we are hopeful that she will make great progress.
Not much on our agenda today. I may purge some dresser drawers and work on organizing a cabinet. Or I may find a good movie and collapse in the recliner. ha!
Maggie: Happiest of birthdays to you today! Enjoy your birthday breakfast!
Karen: I hope you have a great visit with Jan this afternoon.
Barb: So good to see you posting again. You were missed. Happy birthday to Robin. Your day with Jared tomorrow sounds awesome!
Sue: I hope it warms up a bit for you again soon.
OHSue: Safe travels to Texas!
Diane: How are the Harts? Pop in if you have time and let us know what you've been up to. Miss you, gf!
Lauren: Continued prayers and positive vibes coming your way today and every day! Lots of love, too!
Peggy: Safe travels to you and Everett for your Uncles funeral. I'm so sorry for your loss. Hugs.

Just wanted to jump on here and wish Maggie a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I’m waiting on PT coming here. Allie goes home today. She has been invaluable. I disobeyed everyone last night and got myself out of bed for potty breaks. They occur every 1.5 hours so no one was sleeping. I can do it easily. Such a sense of independence!!!!!
Have a great day everyone.

Happy birthday Maggie! I hope you have a lovely day.
Not much going on here. We’re meeting Justin and Keisha at a pizza place in Temecula tomorrow , which is about halfway between us and San Diego. Justin asked if we could drive him home today and we declined. We have been doing so much driving and are going to be doing more soon. We just didn’t feel like that drive. This is a nice compromise.
Last night when Greg came to bed he discovered that one of our cats, Leo, had peed on the bed. It was right in the spot where we’ve been changing Greer, so asserting his dominance I guess. Anyway, the bed had to be stripped and sort of made up again. Just a bottom sheet and the top sheet and a blanket thrown over the top of us. I was just in a long t-shirt and got really chilled, so I thought I would have a hard time getting back to sleep. I got up, pottied and put on a put on a pair of sweatpants. Then I turned my sleep story back on and I don’t remember hearing any of it. I am so happy I didn’t end up sitting up for a long time. This morning we took off the sheets we put on last night, sprayed the mattress with Lysol cleaner and everything went into the wash.
I was thinking I would vacuum today, but now I’m thinking I’ll do it after Greer is gone and we can put away all his toys. I can do a much better job that way.
Have a good day, especially Maggie!
Annie

Good Afternoon Y'all,
I went to the grocery store for a few things this morning. Didn't get a lot since I'll be out of town this weekend, but wanted to have something I could eat when I get home Sunday night.
Dennis is here, working on the path to the creek bed. His son is usually with him, doing the heavy work, but Dennis is alone. I hate for him to be moving all those rocks around by himself. I don't know his age, but think he is mid 60's. I do know that he retired from his former job due to his heart condition at least 10 years ago (I think he's been working for me that long). I'm sure keeping active and physical is better than sitting in a recliner like Ed did.
Barb - yes, Patti has been 'planning' to get Abbey spayed but unfortunately put it off twice. I told her this would happen...sigh...I even gave her the $$ for it twice. She got the male neutered and had Abbie scheduled, but canceled it because she was going out of town (ie, needed the $$ to buy grandkids Christmas gifts). She was keeping her inside, but that didn't last. I brought it up at Christmas time and she said she was going to do it soon...but is too much of a procrastinator. So now she has to deal with kittens. She'll work on finding them homes (our brother, Jim's old cat recently died and he's about ready for a new one). I told her to get any that she doesn't finds homes right away for to the no kill shelter while they're little and easy to adopt.
Lauren - good to hear from you today. You're at the top of my prayer list!
Maggie - Happy Birthday!!!
(((HUGS))) all, Peggy ^..^

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAGGIE AND ROBIN,
I’m sure Maggie is having a great day and her plans for celebration are going to be awesome. Robin had a funeral to go to - a former co-worker at Hughes Aircraft/Raytheon. I fixed him a nice breakfast this morning, but that’s all until lunch tomorrow with Jared, Kirsten, and Tracy. I think that will be fine for him. We don’t get too excited about birthdays anymore. If we can get out for a lunch or dinner, that’s good enough.
I didn’t get too much accomplished today. Clothes were washed up on Wednesday since we had just come home from our trip to TN/KY. We went to the grocery store today and got essentials to last us for a while. Other than that, I have a zoom meeting with my ketovore group. Last night I binge-watched the first 3 episodes of 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing. I like the format of this show. It will be brutal the further they get in the competition, having to cook in 21 more challenges. If they don’t get eliminated, they will continue on with the next challenge. If there is a cook off between 2 chefs, the others may get a few minutes to rest, but there is no full night’s sleep for them.
I didn’t get lunch today so may have a snack of a leftover burger. I don’t want to ruin my appetite for my steak tonight. Yes, Robin is grilling tonight. I can’t do that for him.
Lauren - glad that Allie could stay as long as she did! Sending lots of love your way! ❤️❤️
Gotta run - the day got away from me.
